Send a textOn today’s podcast I had Tarry Summers on. Tarry has hundreds of rentals in the Ohio market. We talk about about what it was like for him to build that up. He actually took a very different route than I did where he need up buying rentals first, while living on his friend’s couch for $250 per month. He continued to live very frugally. Eventually, he was making over $10K per month in positive cash flow. From there, he ended up scaling to do flips, wholesaling, and other businesses like owning a gym! It’s really cool to hear his story, as well as some of the things we both see in today’s current market. She did over a million dollars last year, and she has a really cool story about coming up. She actually bought a $50,000 coaching program which she did not have the money for! It’s cool to hear why she took that risk and how she got her husband on board with supporting her on that risk. After that, she obviously became very successful in real estate investing. She talked about the struggles of doing everything herself and what it was like realizing she needed systems and processes and just learning how to build a team on the fly. We also talk about the power of social media! We discussed what it’s like being an entrepreneur and doing different side hustles. Grant Navarre is also developing an entire subdivision, which we talk about.  His first flip on the subdivision didn’t go so hot, so you guys are definitely going to want to listen to that! In addition, he is also running a big car dealership. This guy was making over $300K at a very young age and used all that money to buy real estate. He talked about how he started in 2008 when everything just hit the fan, and he had to figure out what to do when he dropped out of college to pursue it! Along with that, we go through his story about starting as a fix and flipper, and then how he got into new development. We also talked about how he transitioned into wholesaling and how it saved his business from his cashflow problems. It was really cool to hear! After that, we talked about how he is building a huge education space and platform for students who are just getting started in real estate investing. Send a textOn today’s podcast I had Chris Naghibi on. Chris is a man of many different talents. He has a real estate portfolio of over $50 million! He’s also a lawyer who does pro bono work. The biggest thing he’s doing currently is being apart of a bank doing over $10 billion worth of investments last year! He helped start it, made it public, and is continuing to help grow that business. In this podcast, we talked about a lot of different things going on in the economy, especially as it relates to banks. As a guy who has had mixed feelings about banks over the years, I got to ask him what exactly goes on behind the scenes with banks, why they have a negative stigma, what happens when I deposit money, how to they make loans, and where they get their money. It was really interesting to listen to! Along with that, I get his perspective on going public. He ended up taking his bank public about 7 years ago, and he provided me with good insight as I could potentially take a company public one day. He also goes over the do’s and don’ts, and why it may not make sense for most people to go public. Towards the end of the podcast is my favorite part. We starting getting into some conspiracy theory! There are some interesting things happening in the economy…We’ve got a war going on, a lot of money printing, and we discuss if interest rates will go up and really what’s happening in the media. We talked about how he started his band at a young age, toured the world, sold millions of copies, only to give it up and open up his own church. Along with that we talked about sometimes, in order to reach the next phase of your life, you have to be patient and wait. So many people try and get impatient, try to force things, and promote their own agenda. It was cool to hear his story of waiting and going through all that he did. I can relate to that as well with so many things that have happened in my life, just waiting for the call.
