Tom Waterhouse Is A Business Thoroughbred.
The Waterhouse name has been etched in stone for their contribution to horse racing. It started with Bill. The famous bookmaker known best for betting big. Then his son Robbie, the form genius. Robbie married Gai who would become one of/if not the best trainer in the racing business & within time their son Tom was born. However, Tom along with sister Kate didn't grow up with that same passion for horse racing. For them, it was a boring conversation at the dinner table & that weekend/summer job at the stables they dreaded just thinking about.Until Tom took a day off from university to help his father Robbie at the track one Saturday. Thats when it all changed. With an eye for business, Tom took quick notice of the way money moved in the betting rings & instantly fell in love.Learning under his grandfather & father, Tom spent his early years in the industry as an on track bookmaker. As times changed, he innovated & grew.Over a decade later, Tom has had multiple successes in the racing business & created a personal brand that has him now recognised as a household name. With the launch of their new app & all the exciting things happening at tomwaterhouse.com the future looks bright for the now 38 year old.It was my pleasure to sit down with Tom to talk business, life & have a laugh along the way.I hope you enjoy one of my most exciting episodes yet.Big Love, Brad. Carmen Greentree is an incredible human being. Her childhood trauma was the catalyst for her professional surfing career. What started as an escape turned into a career. Amongst those she met along the journey of self discovery, it was highly recommended that she travel to India to study under the Dalai Lama.Soon she found herself having landed in Delhi. Ryan Tuckwood On Preparing For Success & 60 Seconds Of Integrity.
Ryan Tuckwood is an incredible mind.He is a father, public speaker & world class trainer promoting honesty & integrity in sales. Ryan & his business partner Jack Corbett are the brains behind ISR Training & The SWISH Movement. SWISH is an acronym for selling with integrity & selling honestly. An ethos that it is easy to get behind because we all know a salesperson that has lacked both of those qualities. Now 6 years into their ISR journey, it was in 2018 that Ryan & Jack levelled up. After a successful pitch on the popular Australian TV series shark tank landed them the investment & guidance of 3 sharks. One thing I love about Ryan is he invests in himself. A strong believer in self development, Ryan conquered his fear of public speaking to stand & deliver on nearly 200 occasions in 2019.In this episode we reflected on Ryan's journey. We discussed business growth, mastering the art of sales & the qualities of a true professional. However, for me, the greatest takeaway from this conversation was what Ryan calls 60 second integrity. The theory that he is now developing into a book focuses on the impression we leave with each person we interact with. The notion that at any given time the next person you meet or speak with could positively change your life forever.A genuinely great human being who I felt an honest connection with throughout this episode. I look forward to continually learning from Ryan & I hope you enjoy our chat. Follow him on IG @ryan_tuckwood @isrtraining.Big Love, Brad. Hosted on Acast. Eloni Vunakece is the definition of an all rounder. Debuting for the Sydney Roosters at 28 years of age, Eloni embodied the work ethic of an old school footy player.Waking at 3:30am to have his breakky before working on the garbage run in the mornings, the football world was astounded by the story of a hard working guy supporting his family & following his dreams along the way.Whilst it was the first time that many of us would hear the name Eloni Vukanece, it definitely would not be the last, nor was it the beginning of his great story.Having represented Fiji on the world stage, Eloni had a professional career in both France & Australia. Fine Kula's Battle With Brain Cancer.
Fine Kula spent the early years of his life in South Auckland before being scouted by the Cronulla Sharks at the ripe age of 13.Moving with his family to Sydney, Fine was in a new school, living a new life & playing to earn his spot at the Sharks. After winning the Harold Matthews under 16's & Toyota Cup under 20's premiership with Cronulla, Fine found himself training amongst the NRL squad. With 2019 coming to a close, so was the first half of pre-season. Heading into the Christmas/New Year break Fine was experiencing headaches that would last days on end. Seeking doctors advice he was told that he was most likely suffering bad migraines & was sent home. Coming back to finish the pre-season in 2020 a day after his 21st birthday, Fine looked for a second opinion from the Cronulla Sharks doctor who sent him to hospital from training that day to get an MRI scan.Within days Fine alongside his partner & family were sat in front of doctors who would give him the unfortunate news he never expected. Diagnosed with Sonic Hedgehog Medulloblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, Fine's life changed in a matter of moments.Thrust into treatment immediately whilst trying to comprehend the magnitude of the situation, at first he was upset by the thought that this may be the end of his footy career but quickly he was motivated to get through this to ensure he can spend many years to come watching his niece & nephews grow up & spending precious time with the people he loves. Maintaining a focused approach on coming through his treatment & getting healthy again, let's get behind Fine & ensure he is surrounded by positive energy as he faces this challenge.
