The Story Behind #42forCF.
As many of you know, I was born with Cystic Fibrosis. CF predominately effects the respiratory system & as a result in late June/early July this year I suffered from some bleeding in the small airways of my lungs.Whilst sitting in the emergency room at Wollongong Hospital I had the inspiration to run a marathon before the years end. Proving that no hurdle can stand in your way if you have a positive outlook & great work ethic. Now 8 weeks into my training with the guidance of my coach Ben Seymour & the support of the team at CF Australia, #42forCF will be the first official marathon event in Wollongong's history. While Covid has reduced our capacity to a small crew, the event has gone virtual with plans to see runners logging their efforts from all over Australia on December 12th in honour of Cystic Fibrosis. To support the cause you can donate to the #42forCF fundraising page with all funds going directly to CF Australia and/or share your running efforts whether they be big or small to instagram tagging myself @bradleyjdryburgh & @cfaustralia on December 12th & in the lead up to the day!https://cysticfibrosis.grassrootz.com/our-fundraisers/42forcf-bradley-j-dryburghThis episode is proudly sponsored by https://zacharybiddulph.com/Big Love, Brad & Cystic Fibrosis Australia. Sandor Earl On Embracing Life's Challenges & Being Fuelled By Fire.
Sandor Earl is one of the NRL's biggest stories.Growing up, Sandor's first love was rugby league. The outsider would say he's talented, he disagrees. As he reflects on what got him to where he is today, he credits his insane work ethic for his success as a footballer. It's a trait that shines through in everything he does. Not only is Sandor a professional athlete but also a business owner with a number of projects running outside of 4 lines on the footy field. But like any great story, it's not been all smooth sailing. We reflected on the Stephen Dank peptide scandal that lead to his 4 year ban from Rugby League & cleared the air on the confusion surrounding the story, his mindset coming through that phase of his life & the way it fuelled a fire inside to not only come back to rugby league but to rather make the most of life & the cards he has been dealt.I have a great amount of respect for Sandor & the way he looks at life. His advice for you & I... to embrace failure & every challenge life throws at you. You grow from it & learn along the way. This episode is proudly sponsored by https://zacharybiddulph.com/To support #42forCF head to the link https://cysticfibrosis.grassrootz.com/our-fundraisers/42forcf-bradley-j-dryburghBig love, Brad. Joe Daymond On Realising Dreams & Believing In Your True Purpose.
Joe Daymond was a guest on the show back in April this year.At the time we touched on the years of blood sweat & tears that had gone into his craft, both writing & performing stand up comedy. In April, he had started to take social media by storm, an exciting feeling for a creative who had fought to keep his head above water after years without recognition. Fast forward 3 months & he is the youngest comedian in New Zealand's history to sell out sky city arena in Auckland & has come off the back of a 10 show tour.To be fair, he has been one of the great success stories to come out of this crazy year we call 2020. After our first episode together, Joe & I connected as mates. For all the laughs we have shared these past months, what has meant more to me is to see this great fella have the success he deserves.Underneath the laughs Joe has an unwavering belief in himself. At times everyone doubted him, but he never doubted himself. The message... believe in yourself & be who you want to be. There is nothing more powerful than that.Support Joe on his IG @joe.daymond his podcast SHXT Talk & through his patreon.--This ep is proudly sponsored by https://zacharybiddulph.com/To support my marathon effort for Cystic Fibrosis Australia search #42forCF on socials or head to the donation page https://cysticfibrosis.grassrootz.com/our-fundraisers/42forcf-bradley-j-dryburghBig love, Brad. Grayson Hart Is The Co-Founder Of Pure Sport CBD.
Grayson Hart is a kiwi born pro rugby player & the co-founder of Pure Sport CBD. Pure Sport CBD came to fruition when Grayson & his business partner, both professional athletes experienced the benefits of CBD.After years of playing a high contact physical game the two were sick of coping with the constant aches and pains of old injuries and the heavy contact they were taking in their profession. It was proving hard to get through training and be ready to play week in week out without using painkillers and anti-inflammatory medications. Both felt the adverse side effects on their health and overall feeling of well-being.As soon as CBD (Cannabidiol) was ticked off the banned substance list, and given the all clear by UK Anti-Doping, the two players tried a few drops of CBD oil and were amazed by the quick and positive beneficial effects. With a little more research they saw that there were some risks involved with buying CBD over the counter, as many brands still had small traces of THC which is a banned substance in sport. For their own peace of mind they undertook a worldwide search for someone who could provide a CBD blend that was safe and suitable for professional athletes but they could not find it.Through help from some of the best in the business, they created a bespoke product made for athletes to take CBD safely. These two players saw an opportunity to provide a game-changing supplement that was safe for them and many other athletes to take.Pure Sport CBD goes through a rigid testing protocol which involves two separate third party companies testing each batch of product to guarantee 0% THC. Our products are tested by the most advanced cannabinoid testing kit in the world. They only provide products that have Non detectable levels of THC. They make sure the blend is of the highest quality in order to provide the most effective results. It was a pleasure to host Grayson on my show & I look forward to trying the product!Follow @puresportcbd & @graysonjonhart on IG.Big Love, Brad.
