Since then he has surrounded himself with various believers of different stripes, and somehow evangelicals conclude that Trump is a true believer. Of course, those with our wits about us know that is not a reasonable conclusion. The math is all wrong. We discuss the everlasting gospel in depth and the grace that surrounds it – and then we go through a list of things that are presented as representing the true gospel but in truth are counterfeits. How can we know the fake gospels? How can the church be armed with the ways to combat these insidious fakes? Mary welcomes guest Richie Furay for our first Testimony Tuesday, as we look at his full and storied life as a member of pioneering bands Buffalo Springfield and Poco.  With all that success, what drove him to his knees? How does a person reconcile or intersect the unique life of the spotlight, in the definitive 1960s no less, with the calling of a pastor and troubadour for Jesus? When he returned to Ohio for his Hall of Fame induction, he had a moment of clarity, that those two lives, and all the craziness, were both him, and God was in every moment. Sometimes we have a hard time reconciling our “two lives” as believers, we run from who we were in shame. But God. We talk to him about the early years, the fame years, and the ministry years. [Originally aired: 5/4/23] Chuck Girard, singer, songwriter, recording artist, and worship leader, is one of the pioneers of Contemporary Christian Music. He was co-founder and lead singer of the group LOVE SONG from it’s beginning to the present. Born in Los Angeles, Chuck began playing music at an early age. In his teens, he formed a group called THE CASTELLS, which had two national top 20 hits. They also released the song “I Do”, which was produced by Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. Chuck shared the stage with stars such as Roy Orbison, Jan and Dean, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bobby Vee, and others. This led to a successful career as a studio singer and musician which included singing the lead vocals on THE HONDELLS first two albums and their biggest hit, “Little Honda.” In his early twenties Chuck became disillusioned with life, and like so many of his generation began experimenting with drugs. Mary welcomes back Usama Dakdok to lay a firm foundation on who exactly owns that contested piece of land called “Israel”. Usama was born in Egypt and grew up in a Christian home. While in government schools in Egypt, he learned about Islam just as every other student does in a Muslim country. Usama also studied for a university degree in Egypt which included the study of Sharia, Islamic law. He first came to America in 1992. With all of his knowledge about Islam, he felt he could reach out to Muslim people in America with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thus he began The Straight Way of Grace Ministry. Today we ask ourselves, how did the world come to swallow the narrative of a land called Palestine and Palestinian people? Is it largely to erase Israel’s claim to the land? It seems to be the Lie of the Century, when it comes to Bible prophecy at least. And all that antisemitism today? That’s about that piece of land too. We take a look at the latest shunning of mRNA tech, and it’s good news, as is the report that all federal records of those who had resisted or been exempted from the jab will find that their records have been destroyed. It’s funny how that season of tyranny is finally past us without so much as a “gee you rebels were right all along” acknowledgment. We also take a look at a different form of tyranny in the EU where starting in October, the Powers That Be will be spying on their citizens’ chats. No surprises there. Elizabeth began her professional career as an elementary teacher in a Christian school.
