Human Behavior and Performance with Brian Bogert
Brian Bogert’s story is a crazy one. As a young man, his arm was literally ripped from his body in a freak accident. Twenty four surgeries later, his arm was rebuilt to function once again. Crazier, many years later he nearly lost that same arm a second time.
From that point forward, and throughout Brian’s life, he has continued to face adversity in many areas. But he believes that through it all, his greatest takeaway was learning to embrace pain to avoid suffering and gain freedom.
Brian and I hit on so many topics throughout this episode, including his success as a performance coach, a motivational speaker, an insurance practice leader, and as a husband and father at home.
I promise that you will gain so much from listening to all that Brian has to share.

Politics, Religion, and Other Off-limits Topics with Kody Fairfield (part 2)
We’ve long heard people say that talking about politics, religion, and other socially-charged issues were no-nos in business or even at the Thanksgiving dinner table. While I get the reasons why this is the case, I just don’t feel that’s the approach to take if we ever seek to reunite a deeply divided nation.
What’s fascinating to me is that like it or not, I’ve had more and more people asking for my opinions on a lot of these issues. Maybe it’s because I’ve gained some influence in the business community? maybe it’s because I currently serve as a pastor of a small church? Or maybe it’s because I’m a white male and not enough of us are speaking up and speaking the truth.
In this episode of the podcast (part 2 of 2), I was fortunate enough to have my friend Kody Fairfield join me in discussing a lot of these highly charged and extremely important topics. Kody has a background in politics and is an all-around really smart guy with a huge heart so I’m sure you’ll appreciate a lot of what he has to say. As you listen, I encourage you to do so with an open mind and an open heart and more than anything, a lot of grace.
You may not agree with some of the things we say and as a matter of fact, some of the things may actually make you angry. While I understand that that could happen, I want you to know but I’ll still be your friend regardless of how you think about the things I think and how you think about these topics yourself.
As always, thank you so much for listening and supporting me on this journey to be the best version of the person that I believe God has created me to be.

The Limited Nature of Human Kind with Eddie Williams
Eddie Williams is a former 5-year NFL veteran, a pastor and the creator of Ex Nihilo Health, a site for biblical wellness.
Eddie and I get right into discussing the lack of control we really have and how today’s volatile culture demonstrates that so (unfortunately) well. This episode spanned so many topics, including leadership in difficult seasons, the need to create true identity, racism, and so much more.
Give it a listen. And if you would be so kind, share it with a friend and give us a great review.
Thank you!

Celebrating 100 Episodes with a Few of my Favorite People
I cannot believe I made it to 100!
A simple idea in early 2018 has created some of the most amazing relationships, best conversations, happy moments, hard discussions, and lots in between.
Episode 100 was a chance for me to share time with my beautiful wife Michelle and my good friend and business partner John Welches. We had a couple of cocktails, talked about religion, politics, and lots of stuff in between. And above all, we had a great time!
Whether this is your first episode or you’ve been here since day 1, thank you! You have blessed me in ways you will never know.

Making the Most of the Time We Are In with Ryan James Miller
Episode 99 is a solo one. And in it, I wanted to catch you up on where I am while sharing a few things I’ve been learning (which could help you too).
One thing I have really learned is that making the most of the time we are in doesn’t require us to make big changes or grow in leaps and bounds. Maybe it’s as simple as valuing the time as it is?
I also share my Enneagram result, a breakdown of one of the negative areas I discovered during my Enneagram coaching call, someone you should be following for daily inspiration (@benefitsmom), and a few things I am giving away.
Listen in and let me know what you think!

The Physical, Mental, and Emotional Necessity of Fitness with Chad Burleson
Chad Burleson is the owner of multiple The Camp Transformation Center franchises in Southern California. As you can expect, the first half of 2020 has presented many potential challenges for Chad, his team, and his fitness community. But as you will hear him say, we need to continue moving forward regardless of the circumstances around us.
Chad joins me for a second time on the podcast (see episode 4 for his first appearance), and this time around we talk about the key moment he chose to put his team and his clients before himself, how he has helped people fight the many physical, mental, and emotional challenges of the global COVID pandemic, and what he believes (and I agree) are the key characteristics to overcome any challenge thrown our way. We also discuss the amazing benefits we have both seen from CBD and why other people should consider it over a lot of supplements on the market today.
Trust me when I say, you don’t want to miss this episode. I am definitely a better person for knowing Chad and this episode once again supports that belief.

Real Talk on Forgiveness and Reconciliation | from AC13 Live with Ryan James Miller
By mid-June 2020, the United States was being further and further divided over issues of race and health concerns. These two severe issues were compounded an already significant problem driven by division over politics (amongst other things). I decided it was time to use my platform to share my voice on these issues.
This episode of Authentic Conversations was taken from an AC Live I recorded on June 12, 2020. In it, I not only share my views on those issues above, but I share my own personal challenges with forgiveness and reconciliation that have spanned my entire adult life. I have been hurt and I have hurt others. And I was brought to the point where I needed to resolve the issues in my own heart before I could ever make a positive impact on someone else’s.
Please take the time to listen to my heart on these issues and share it with others. I believe my thoughts are worth considering and the topic is something we must continue to speak on and make a positive change for.

The Value of Life and How to Protect It with Robert Clark
Robert Clark is an income protection specialist, providing Executive Disability Insurance to employer groups and high-comp business leaders. More importantly to me, Robert is a client and dear friend. He has the utmost integrity and is all about adding value to everyone he comes in contact with.
Right out of the gate, we discuss the importance of income protection and how I was personally driven to engage with Robert to protect my family. Trust me when I say that this is an extremely important topic that is all-too-often ignored.
Additionally, we talk about:
Why your primary residence may not be a great retirement investment.
Why a “spork” is not the universal tool it’s proposed to be.
The decision Robert made to invest in mobile home parks.
How toilet paper almost ruined Robert’s e-commerce efforts.
Planning to live financially free as early as possible in life.

We all know referrals are an amazing way to create new business opportunities. And we hear many people say that they get “tons” of referrals. But are you really getting the referrals you deserve?
In this episode of Authentic Conversations, from AC 12 Live, I share the exact referral strategy every business professional should adopt. The strategy includes:
1. How to become referrable.
2. Why you should ask for referrals.
3. Who will provide a good referral.
4. Understanding what triggers a referral.
5. Creating a plan of action to begin asking for referrals.
