What Is Success, Really? And How Do You Find It For Yourself? - And What the Coaching Industry Gets Wrong - Episode #28
In a typically deep, diverse and intimate episode, Brace Harris and Victoria Fenton tackle the topic of "success" this week. They cover:
What is success really - and the differentiation between success and prosperity
The difference between external 'success' and happiness
The weight of expectation and milestones: how not keeping up or meeting our idea of success negatively affects how we perceive ourselves
Determining if we are happy and successful, or if we just think we are
The route to change if we realize that we aren't living a life we love
Whilst sharing their personal challenges with meeting expectations (their own, and that of others'), Victoria also details the errors in approach of the coaching community - and how things are said, but are not often meant. And the danger in expecting change instead of truly accepting reality. Victoria goes into detail about her journey at the moment, and discusses the very real emotions that can come up when we recognize that we are not living a life that we are truly feeling in love with.

Where Are We All Going? Discussing Drive, Motivation & the Meaning of Life (yes... really!) - Episode #27
Today’s episode is a really fun one! Brace and Victoria begin in classic “Yank and the Brit” style before moving into an in-depth discussion of motivation. Much more than your typical “what makes us do what we do?” Podcast, during this conversation Brace and Victoria cover:
Healthy and unhealthy motivations: is there a difference? What makes a motivation unhealthy? How can you tell when something IS unhealthy?
The difference between driving forces, and them motivating us to action (i.e. distinguishing between drives and motivators)
How to prevent a drive from becoming a defining motivator (and when it’s necessary)
The essence of what affects our motivations: from biological and genetic factors, to societal pressures and “keeping up with the Jones’s”
And then, as is now custom for our Unveilers, Victoria leads Brace into a metaphysical discussion about the meaning of life and the purpose or role of suffering in creating outcomes.
She chats about her latest contemplations around whether we are all just justifying suffering by making our challenges into hero’s journeys - and whether there really is any truth to the Rumi adages of “The cure for the pain is in the pain” and “Pain is the conduit to healing”. Yes - it goes deep!
And why? Because we at Unveil are continuously inviting you to see belief and truth for what they are: subjective and mutable. These podcast discussions open the doorway to new ways of thinking.

Heal Your Relationship With Your Body - Episode #25
On this deeply personal and revealing episode, join Master Coaches Brace Harris and Victoria Fenton as they discuss the relationships we have with our bodies - and how to heal them.
The Unveil Team walk you through:
How we are taught by society to think about our bodies in such a way that it breeds judgment, shame and disconnection
How we can fall into the tendency to try and change our bodies to meet societal standards of beauty, and why this is nonsensical
The Health At Every Size movement and how it still negates to truly recognize the truth about the human body
What the human body really IS - and the power, and memories, it holds
How to view your body when it is doing something that you dislike, like holding onto weight or not putting on weight, or if you have an illness
How to see the body's symptoms and manifestations as signals, and information
At this point, Victoria takes you on a journey into her world and her relationship with her body. She shares all about her personal struggles with body shape, size and chronic illness. She discusses her trauma history and reveals the precise consequence this has on her body today.
As ever, interweaved throughout these explorations and personal shares, the Unveil Team walk you through reframing your perspective on what the body is here to say - and how to truly work WITH your body to shift stubborn symptoms and heal from anything that troubles you.
This is a powerful episode and we hope you enjoy. If you know someone that would benefit from listening, make sure you forward this along to support them.

How to Make Your Mind an Ally: Tackling Anxiety, Depression and Overthinking - Episode #24
This episode of the Unveil Podcast is all about your mind - and how, instead of trying to push away or avoid thoughts, there really are ways to make your mind an ally, rather than an enemy.
The Unveil Team walk you through:
Our typical response to our mind chatter and how we usually behave when thoughts come up that are uncomfortable - and why we do this
How we identify personally with our thoughts and the way we think - and why we shouldn't (and don't need to)
The reality of the mind, and thoughts - how they are NOT the same thing, and the science behind where thoughts really come from
The process of moving into, through and beyond the default thought patterns that dominate our thinking
WHY to make friends with your mind
An in-depth rundown of HOW to make your mind an ally, with the step-by-step instructions on facing anxiety, overthinking, depression and overwhelm
This is a great podcast for everyone to listen to - because we all make enemies of our thoughts at times. During this deep and involved discussion, Brace Harris and Victoria Fenton really explore the territory of the mind-body relationship and how to align all of the elements of who we are, how we feel and what we think.

Will They Ever Really Change? Navigating Expectations of Change and Reaching Compromise with Family Members and Loved Ones - Episode #23
This week’s podcast episode is all about wanting other people to change:
Are we allowed to?
Isn’t the rule that we have to change first?
Do we really need to be the change we want to see?
Can we ask others to change for us?
In typical Unveil fashion, @braceharris and @victoriafenton turn the concept of hoping for others to change on its head. They discuss:
Whether it’s all on you and you need to be the thing first before others will change for you
The difference between wanting change from a chosen partner, and hoping for change from a family member
How to know where the boundary is, and when it is a “you” thing, vs. when it is truly about the other
Radical responsibility: what that truly means and how to implement it in your life
Whether others really change if you change
How to compromise, what to give up - and what you are truly asking when you request a change from someone else
As ever, Brace and Victoria take you on a tour of the human condition, evaluating and discussing how to navigate relationships and self-work - and the balance between the two.
Enjoy the show!

How to Stop Procrastinating: What Causes us to Put Things Off, and How Behaviors with so-called ”Negative” Consequences Begin - Episode #22
Today the Unveil Team talk all about Procrastination: what is behind it when we avoid either small, everyday tasks or the pursuit of big goals?
During the show, @braceharris and @victorialfenton discuss:
The ways we procrastinate and the cunning things we do to avoid doing the things we’re supposed to be doing
What is underneath procrastination around little everyday life tasks, which turns into a discussion around the avoidance of “adulting” and what it means like to take care, and be taken care of
What is behind the procrastination of moving towards big goals - and this is a jumping off point into a conversation about Coaching versus Healing, and Management versus Healing
They then talk about the difference between adopting strategies to succeed, versus truly addressing the patterns underneath which are leading to procrastination in the first place
This is a delightful exploration of habit formation, the strategies we adopt and why we protect ourselves with behaviors that seem, on the surface, to be creating only problems and consequences. And your hosts share tips and tricks for building greater awareness and shifting some of these habits if they’re affecting your life.
As ever with the Unveil Team, this episode explores the nature of human consciousness and why we choose to do things that cause us to think negatively about ourselves - and how to move through that shame and guilt, and move towards resolving what is underneath your habits and procrastination.

21 - How to Know - And Ask For - What You Really Need
This episode takes the topic of "need" and explores how we can identify, ask for and navigate the process of getting what we need.
We also update you, our listeners, on the complete change in the Unveil business plans - and use this as the framework to discuss the whole process of establishing what we need, and the how-to (and how-not-to) of asking for those needs to be met.
During this episode, we discuss:
the movement in the Unveil plans and how Victoria Fenton and Brace Harris are navigating these changes by identifying what they really need
how to identify what you need, and how that is often different to what you think you might need
what to do when you've realized what you need: how to go about asking for it
how asking FOR something is very different to asking for PERMISSION for something
how masculine and feminine energies operate differently around being in a place of need, and the way they ask for their needs to be met

19 - Loving Yourself - What That Truly Means & Who is the ”Self” You Are Loving Anyway?
A big episode this week, as Brace Harris and Victoria Fenton share their latest musings which have been influencing the development of the first ever Unveil Weekend Workshop - which we announce and talk about in this episode.
And this episode is all about the concept of Self Love. In the age of meme-culture and positive mental attitudes, the Unveil Master Coaches meander through a fascinating discussion which covers:
What is the actual "self" that we are supposed to love?
What is the nature of "identity" - and are we all merely constructs of behavior patterns?
If so, where do we learn those behaviors?
Re-contextualizing trauma: a discussion which brings into focus what trauma really is, and what experiences can leave trauma imprints (this topic features heavily in the upcoming Transformational Healing Retreat course)
How forms of stress create adaptation patterns, and the consequences that leads to
And, ultimately, how do you love all of this about yourself?
The Unveil Team discuss how everything can be OK, and you can love everything, AND still want to work on yourself to release some stored behavior patterns.
Another whirlwind of an episode where we touch on a tonne of topics and tease a lot of the upcoming work that will be released from the Unveil Team in 2022.

18 - What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Do: The Power of Powerful Questions
Brace Harris and Victoria Fenton are back - and this episode is a smorgasbord of information, loosely based around the concept of how to move yourself forward when you are at an impasse.
This episode is a practical insight into how to coach yourself through stuck-ness, whilst also offering wisdom for coaches around how to coach clients from your Human Design Type.
This covers how to ask a question, what questions have power - and which don't. And then, building on the theme of their previous few podcasts, Victoria discusses which Human Design Types need to ask questions and what they need to ask/how to go about it.
The Unveil Team show you how to expand your perspective of a situation to change your experience of it and move forward.
And, as ever, they laugh uproariously - and also share their current life and work escapades as they build the Unveil world.
