Amber has a Master of Journalism degree from Ryerson University and a Bachelor of Management & Organizational Studies degree from University of Western Ontario.

Doug Downey was elected as the Member of Provincial Parliament for Barrie–Springwater–Oro-Medonte in 2018 and subsequently named the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Finance, the Honourable Victor Fedeli.
Doug was raised in Bond Head, and has spent much of his life working and living throughout Simcoe County. He obtained his Hons. B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University; M.A. specializing in Judicial Administration from Brock University; a Law Degree from Dalhousie University at Halifax; and a Master of Laws in Municipal and Development Law through Osgoode Hall Law School. Born in Hamilton on September 11 1957 to Italian Immigrants Enrico and Victoria, Joseph Mancinelli hit the ground running. His father dedicated his life’s work to building better communities for marginalized populations within Ontario and throughout Canada. From an early age, Joseph was able to appreciate the value and importance of opportunity. With a heightened awareness for equality, Joseph became motivated by the notion that opportunities are not evenly distributed and therefore not always accessible to all social streams. He and his wife Enza have been married for thirty years and have five children and two grandchildren.
Joseph S. Mancinelli serves as the Labourers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) International Vice President and Regional Manager of Central and Eastern Canada a diverse and multi-faceted union with over 120 000 members in Canada. Joseph is also the Chair of the Labourers’ Pension Fund of Central and Eastern Canada (LPFCEC); President of the LiUNA Ontario District Council, Chair of the Labourers’ Central and Eastern Canada Organizing Fund (CECOF) and is a Trustee on the LiUNA Health and Safety, Training and LECET Board.
Throughout Joseph’s career and multitude of philanthropic initiatives, it is evident that he has always demonstrated innovation and creativity while delivering lasting results. He believes that education is a human right and a catalyst for change. Under his leadership, vision and persistence as President of his home local, LiUNA Local 837 in Hamilton, Joseph remains a driving force behind many redevelopment initiatives including the restoration of the former CN Rail Station now known as LiUNA Station, and the development of LiUNA’s Long-term care facilities Queens Garden and Regina Gardens. Under Joseph’s leadership, LiUNA has restored and redeveloped an Ontario landmark, the Lister Block, a building in Hamilton whose cultural significance has resulted in it being named a provincial historical site and continues to seek opportunity to build better communities from the ground up. A member since 1978, Joseph continues to oversee many of its related entities including its Health & Welfare Plan, its Training Trust Fund and its affordable housing division.
Joseph is a thought leader and an advocate of community building and is a champion of benevolent causes having served on numerous committees including the Wynne Government’s Transit Advisory Panel; The Toronto Region Board of Trade Infrastructure Committee, he was a founding director of the Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation and also founding Chair of the Bay Area Health Trust. Restoring trust and accountability in the province’s finances is at the core of the mandate of Premier Doug Ford’s provincial government. As part of that goal, Hon. Peter Bethlenfalvy, President of the Treasury Board, recently announced the results of EY Canada’s line-by-line review of government spending.
Managing Transformation A Modernization Action Plan for Ontario examined government spending and brought forward new ideas to do government differently. The work will support the broader expenditure management exercise underway, and will support finding innovative ways of administering government services while ensuring that funding is directed to those who need it most.

The Honourable Rod Phillips was sworn in as Ontario’s Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks on June 29, 2018. Minister Phillips, MPP for Ajax, assumes his current role following a successful business career.
Most recently, he was Chair of Afiniti Canada, a global artificial intelligence company, and Postmedia, Canada’s largest news media company. The minister is a former President and CEO of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, and of Shepell.fgi, a Canadian-based international employee health company. As well, he was volunteer chair of CivicAction, which brings together business, labour and community leaders to address challenges facing the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
The minister has also served as chief of staff in the offices of then-Minister of Labour Elizabeth Witmer and former Toronto Mayor Mel Lastman. Born in Newmarket, the minister has an Honours BA in Political Science and English from the University of Western Ontario, and an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University.

John Chen as Executive Chairman and CEO of BlackBerry Limited, is responsible for defining the company’s vision and goals, setting its strategy, and ensuring the team’s execution matches corporate objectives. John was appointed by the BlackBerry board of directors in November 2013. Caroline Mulroney is Attorney General and Minister Responsible for Francophone Affairs. She was elected as the MPP for York–Simcoe in 2018.
Mulroney was the vice president of BloombergSen Investment Partners, a Toronto-based investment firm, where she managed client services, marketing and business development. Prior to that, Mulroney spearheaded corporate and regulatory matters related to growth opportunities in Canada and the United States for Wellington Financial LP.
Mulroney is a graduate of Harvard College and the NYU School of Law. She co-founded and chairs the Shoebox Project for Shelters, a charitable organization that co-ordinates and delivers gifts to thousands of women and girls in shelters or facing homelessness.
Mulroney is also a member of the board of directors for the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation, and is a governor of the National Theatre School of Canada. Born in Montreal, Caroline grew up in Ottawa and is bilingual.
She and her husband, Andrew Lapham, have four children.

James Villeneuve was appointed Consul General of Canada, Los Angeles in February 2014. He is Canada’s senior representative in Southern California, Arizona and Nevada. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Villeneuve worked for Anheuser Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewing company and the parent company of Labatt Breweries, for more than 27 years. He started with Labatt in Toronto in sales and marketing and was later transferred to Vancouver, where he was regional director of government affairs for Western Canada.
In 1995, Mr. Villeneuve returned to Toronto to manage Labatt’s rebranding initiative and to run the company’s corporate and sports properties. He later became director of corporate affairs and then vice-president of corporate affairs for Canada.
From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Villeneuve worked in Brussels to lead InBev’s global corporate affairs practice. After InBev purchased Anheuser Busch in 2009, Mr. Villeneuve moved to St. Louis to lead the company’s North American corporate affairs department. Mr. Villeneuve has served on many boards during his career, including the Toronto Economic Development Commission, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the 2008 Toronto Olympic Bid, the Granville Island Trust, the Association of Canadian Advertisers, Carleton University, The Canadian Club, Teach for America, the United Way and the Regional Chamber and Growth Association in St. Louis.
He received a Bachelor’s degree from Carleton University in 1985. Mr. Villeneuve is married to Kim Walker-Villeneuve and they have two children, Grace and Andrew.

Victor Dodig was named President and CEO of the CIBC group of companies, one of North America’s leading financial services institutions, in September 2014. During his tenure, Victor has helped usher in a new era for the bank, positioning CIBC as a relationship-oriented bank for a modern world. In 2016, he led the acquisition of The PrivateBank, establishing a strong North American platform for CIBC to serve clients and deliver future growth.
Victor brings nearly 25 years of extensive business and banking experience, having led CIBC’s Wealth Management, Asset Management, and Retail Banking businesses. He also led several businesses with UBS and Merrill Lynch in Canada and internationally, and was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.
A member of CIBC’s Board of Directors, Victor also serves on the board of the C.D. Howe Institute and Royal Ontario Museum Board of Governors. He is a vocal advocate for gender diversity in the workplace, as Chair of the 30% Club Canada, Chair of the Catalyst Canada Advisory Board, and a member of the global Catalyst Board of Directors.
Victor is the recipient of the 2017 Catalyst Canada Honours (Company Leader) Champion award. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School, where he earned an MBA and was recognized as a Baker Scholar. Victor holds a Diploma from the Institut d’études politiques in Paris, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto (St. Michael’s College) in Commerce.
Victor resides in Toronto with his wife Maureen and their four teenage children. He is an active community member, currently serving as Co-Chair of the St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation’s Promise Campaign.
