Better Mornings, Better Days
Have you ever had one of those mornings when everything seems to go wrong? You oversleep, spill coffee on your outfit, and hit every single red light on your way to work? And then, it feels like no matter what you do, you can’t shake the black cloud that follows you all day long. Yep, we’ve all been there. The way your morning goes tends to set the tone for your entire day, and let’s face it, getting dressed is an important part of your morning. As a wardrobe stylist who has been dressing everyday women for over 20 years, I am well aware of the transformational power of what you wear. But did you know that your wardrobe also has the power to change your mornings and your days by influencing your confidence and mindset? Your clothes have an incredible impact on how you feel about yourself and how you show up in the world. In this episode, I talk about four wardrobe-related things we can do to make sure that our mornings set us up for success, no matter what life throws at us. So if you’re tired of feeling overwhelmed in the morning, this episode will change the way you approach getting dressed. Hey Hun! With Emily Paulson
This week we wrap up our summer series with a conversation I’ve been wanting to have for ages. It’s honestly taken me a long time to get up the courage to ruffle some feathers in service of the greater good. In today's episode, I'm talking with Emily Paulson about direct sales - also known as network marketing, social selling, and multi-level marketing (MLM). Although it goes by a few different names, the principles are the same, and we're going to dig into how the business model really works. After being a completely unsuccessful consultant with 2 MLM companies, my goal with this episode just might be to have a little vindication…. This type of business model has left a negative impression on women in terms of what owning, and growing a business is all about. I sincerely believe that owning your own business is the best way to have it all, and it pains me to think women who want to start something of their own hold themselves back because of what they've experienced being exposed to this culture. If you’re in a Direct Sales business, I really want you to hear me when I say that this isn’t about you, the consultant, it’s about the company and the business model as a whole. As we get ready to launch the Style Network again, I knew it was time to get over my fear of offending people and talk about this–in hopes that women who do want to start something of their own won’t hold themselves back because they believe they have to follow a business model that just feels icky. Having a wildly successful business is possible.

Radical Radiance with Angela Jia Kim
This week we're kicking off our Summer interview series! All season long, we're talking to guest experts who will help you live more stylishly in all aspects of your life. We're excited to bring you our summer line up, and we hope you'll enjoy hearing from them. In this episode, I'm talking to Angela Jia Kim, the founder of Savor Beauty, a natural skincare and facial spa brand inspired by Korean beauty and self-love rituals. Angela is a former international, classical concert pianist who became an accidental entrepreneur after creating a skincare line in her kitchen. Angela's mission and message go way beyond skincare. In 2022, Angela published her book, "Radical Radiance", which features twelve weeks of self-love rituals that aim to transform your life for radiance, magic, and happiness. I tend to be a more practical person, who doesn't always prioritize taking time to smell the flowers. But after spending time with Angela, her book, and her amazing products, I'm beginning to apply a little of her self-care mindset to my own life. Incorporating self-love into your daily routine doesn't have to take much time, many of the techniques Angela shares can be added in just a few minutes each day. After you hear this conversation, I hope you'll be inspired to add more self-love into your life too. In this episode you'll learn: How Angela became an accidental entrepreneur What Korean self-care rituals are, and how Angela has adapted them for American women Quick self-care rituals you can incorporate into your life Why self-care isn't selfish Angela's answers to questions from Style Circle members The Summer 2023 Capsule Wardrobe Guide is NOW available with the Style Circle membership.
