Have Genuine Love To The Book Of Allah
Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan delivers an impeccable lecture that enables us to inculcate a genuine love for the Glorious Qur'an - The Book of Allah.
The Ustadh begins with Surah Al Araf in which he directs our attention towards the latter half of the Surah which illustrates the beauty of the Qur'an. There is no book like the Qur'an and its language is unmatchable and unique.
We are also acquainted with the ways in which Shaytan works to corrupt the mind of people with weak Iman and more so, for that person who has a slip in faith and immediately seizes the opportunity to throw us out from the path of Allah.

The Wisdom of Prophet Suleimans Dua
In his reinterpretation of the unique duaa of Prophet Suleiman in Surat Saad, Nouman Ali Khan opens new vistas into our understanding of the value of our engagement in this world. At first glance, Suleimanâs duaa for a kingdom that is not befitting anyone after him seems materialistic, but in fact he is asking for the capability to do more good for the sake of Allah. As Muslims we must take a strong cue from this noble prophet. Excelling in this world for the right reasons is in itself, an act of worship. We do not separate worldly life from spiritual life in Islam, but we must shake off the delusional fear that weâre not capable, and submit this life (our career, education) to a higher goal. When our heart is in the right place, Allah will give us resources beyond the imagination.

A Quranic Lesson in Religious Psychology
Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan delivers an amazing Khutbah on the topic of religious psychology and it makes for a very engaging listen.
We are acquainted with the Ayat of Surah Al-Baqarah related to Ramadan and fasting. Nouman Ali Khan explains how the Qur'an confronts the religious psychology of those who believe. It emphasizes on the diseases of the heart where some people strictly adhere to observing rituals but are corrupt when it comes to worldly dealings.
This kind of behavior is destructive and we must seek to overcome them in Ramadan because the Taqwa (consciousness) of Allah must extend to all spheres of life. Ramadan must transform us not just spiritually, but also ethically. Otherwise, there is no larger purpose served in fasting when in reality our hearts are afflicted with an insatiable hunger and greed for wealth.

Uphold Justice
Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan delves into the topic of concern in modern times - Upholding Justice.
Injustice is a booming bane that is so rampant in our society and holds dire consequences. Nouman Ali Khan points out in his discussion of the Ayat from Surat An-Nisa and Surah Al-Ma'idah that highlights such injustice which leads to more hatred, violence, crime, and tension.
On the contrary, as Allah describes so beautifully and aptly in the Quran when justice in its purest form is executed without bias or double standards stemming from unrestricted love or hate, life becomes worth living and those surrounding us are also benefitted. These are universal principles that appeal to the whole of humanity not just Muslims.

Ready To Withstand Challenges
Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan gives a mesmerizing lecture on how to make oneself ready to withstand challenges that come to the fore in our daily lives in the light of Islam.
In Surah Al Kahf, ‘People of the “Cave” refers to the youth. These young men who hid in the cave were incessantly trying to protect their newfound identity of having embraced Islam and being a blessed Muslim. Their departure from the city was to protect their faith and the deep desire to live a life based on the belief of the Oneness of Allah SWT. They chose to sacrifice the luxuries of this life and the safeguarding of their beliefs. Their migration away from their families and society was a last resort to protect their faith.
In present times in America, we are not subject to the extreme circumstances faced by these youth. As Muslims in America, we have a constitutional right to practice our faith and live as Muslims. This comes with a price sometimes. We may have to make some sacrifices of time & wealth, but we are in no way in the same shoes as the youth mentioned above.
This story poses a very important reminder and lesson to impart to everyone who in the midst of all the luxuries and comforts of this world, should still be focused on finding the truth, promoting it and being ready to sacrifice many comforts of this life to promote, protect and practice their faith.
