Diane Vives is one of the top female Strength and Conditioning Specialists throughout the world and is a leader in the fitness industry. She is the owner of Vives Training Systems and Fit4Austin in Austin, Texas. Diane is an international speaker for the National Strength and Conditioning Association, where she was also on their Board of Directors. Diane has also coached the Chinese Olympic Team coaches, and she was the first female on the Under Armour Performance Advisory Council.
She is also the creator of the SMARTsets training system, Training the Female Athlete, H2O Training, and a co-author in Speed, Agility and Quickness as well as Sport Speed published by Human Kinetics. She has appeared in Muscle and Fitness for Her, Shape, Women’s Fitness, Runners World, Tennis Magazine, Experience Life and other regional publications. Diane is a lead instructor and the former Director of Education for Functional Movement Systems and she serves as the Senior Director, Wellness and Fitness Professional Education at KnowFully Learning Group.

Podcast 078 – The Science of Sleep with Nick Lambe – The Sleep Coach
Nick Lambe is a long -time coach in the health and fitness industry. He spent the majority of his 1 on 1 coaching working in the rehabilitation setting in close collaboration with physical therapists and other medical providers. It was in this setting that his love and passion for sleep developed. Between the many of his own clients struggling and the seemingly strong link between sleep and recovery time, Nick knew he needed to learn more. He set out on what a multi-year long journey to piece together all he could about sleep and more importantly how to apply it with clients. He instituted sleep coaching as a separate service in the integrated clinic he was working at the time and ended up coaching nearly 100 struggling clients.
He then developed The Online Sleep Coach brand to broaden his reach and take his sleep coaching online. In this capacity, he had the pleasure of coaching individuals of all walks including athletes in the NFL, MLB, NBA, UFC and US Olympic team. He provided consultations for many teams and organizations. Beyond his own coaching and consulting, Nick is now making an impact on the sleep space via his Sleep & Recovery Coaching Course as well as the Sleep EdYOUcation which provides education to professionals in sleep coaching.
In addition, Nick runs an education company called COACHED geared towards empowering coaches to address the missing links in the health and fitness industry (communication, collaboration, etc.) The company runs regular events including the Raise the Bar Conference.

Kyle is a physical therapist and currently treats and trains patients and clients in New York City. Prior to working in NYC, Kyle spent three years at an outpatient clinic in New Jersey seeing patients of all ages and diagnoses. With a bachelor’s of science in human biology from Suny Albany 2010, Kyle parlayed his interest in the human body into a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Sage Graduate school.
As an apprentice and associate of Dr. Charlie Weingroff, Kyle drives to keep his clients training while guiding them and their coaches with the appropriate lateralizations and regressions, and treating as needed. Treatments consist of a full body assessment and evaluation from which impairments are determined and individual plans are built that consist of manual therapies, exercise considerations, and a solid foundation of education/communication. Kyle is formally trained in SFMA/FMS, manipulation, dry needling, functional range release, and many other approaches, all with the goal of improving each patients’ individual complaints and quality of movement

Dr. Lisa Thomson is a board-certified Doctor of Chiropractic in the greater Los Angeles area and the Immediate Past President of the California Chiropractic Association. She has extensive knowledge in treating many pain-related conditions and has helped thousands of people get out of pain. Her true passion, however, is sports performance. Due to her extensive knowledge of human biomechanics and functional movement, she is considered an expert in her field and speaks at events all over the country sharing her knowledge.
Dr. Thomson is an Upstate New York native and a graduate of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. At Plattsburgh she was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society, was selected to be on the Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities list and was captain of the women’s soccer team. She is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus. Upon graduating from Palmer Dr. Thomson drove out to California where she opened her practice.

Christie Aschwanden is the author of GOOD TO GO: What the Athlete in All of Us Can Learn From the Strange Science of Recovery and co-host of EMERGING FORM, a podcast about the creative process. A lifetime athlete, Christie has raced in Europe and North America on the Team Rossignol Nordic ski racing squad.
She’s the former lead science writer at FiveThirtyEight and was previously a health columnist for The Washington Post. Christie is a frequent contributor to The New York Times. She’s also been a contributing editor for Runner’s World and a contributing writer for Bicycling. Dr. Jimmy Yuan treats some of the most elite athletes in the world. Dr. Yuan was a member of the treatment team for the winners of the 2018 Ryder Cup, Team Europe.

In addition to being a certified FMS instructor, Dr. Yuan also has a Fellowship in medical acupuncture from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture, is a certified Graston Techniques provider, Titleist Certified Golf Fitness Instructor, Registered Trigenist, and StrongFirst Team Leader. Dr. Yuan also instructs for Titleist Performance Institute and TRX. Dr. Yuan is experienced as a personal trainer and was a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Dr. Yuan received his Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from the State University of New York, Binghamton. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the New York Chiropractic College and the Consumers’ Research Council of America listed Dr. Yuan as one of America’s Top Chiropractors. He is also listed in the 2007-08 Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide Edition.

Podcast 070 – Lessons from a Lifetime in Fitness and Performance with Mike Boyle
Michael Boyle is one of the foremost experts in the fields of Strength and Conditioning, Functional Training and general fitness. He currently spends his time lecturing, teaching, training and writing. In 1996 Michael co-founded Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, one of the first for-profit strength and conditioning companies in the world.
Prior to Co- founding Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, Michael served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Boston University for 15 years, also for the past 25 years he been the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Men’s Ice Hockey at Boston University. Mike also was the Boston Red Sox strength and conditioning coach in 2013 that won the World Series. In addition to his duties at Boston University and the Red Sox, from 1991-1999 Boyle served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. Michael was also the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 1998 US Women’s Olympic Ice Hockey Team, Gold Medalists in Nagano and 2014 Silver medalists in Sochi, and served as a consultant in the development of the USA Hockey National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Michael has been a featured speaker at numerous strength and conditioning and athletic training clinics across the world and has produced 20 instructional videos in the area of strength and conditioning, as well as published his book Functional Training for Sports.
