In 2008, she moved to Fayetteville to launch Young Life College at the University of Arkansas, and under her leadership, the ministry expanded to reach students and adolescents across multiple schools and communities in Arkansas. She now serves as Associate Regional Director, overseeing Young Life ministries statewide. She and her husband Gregg have four adult children and seven grandchildren.

Homecoming:Mel Murray, 10 a.m. Mel Murray graduated as a presidential scholar from John Brown University ('01) with a degree in Intercultural Studies, after which she launched into a career in marketing. Following her passions and calling, Mel and her husband moved their young family of four to Northern India in 2010 and launched multiple ventures, including a vertically integrated ethical fashion brand, a high-end boutique guitar brand, and a nonprofit venture studio that partners with under-resourced entrepreneurs in challenging regions to launch sustainable, scalable businesses. Mel is Partner for Praxis Global Community, serving a diverse group of ecosystem builders and leaders, activating redemptive entrepreneurship in communities all throughout the world. She serves on the board of JoyCorps and HOPE International.
