sola scriptura: scripture alone with Dr. Jordan CooperChristians ought to submit to the authority given to us by Christ, Pastors, elders, teachers, etc. But what happens when those in authority teach things contrary to the Word of God? Is there a higher court to which we can appeal? The answer is yes. The appeal is the appeal of sola scriptura. "Sola Scriptura" is a phrase that sounds foreign to western ears. In Latin, the phrase  means "only Scripture" or "Scripture alone." It was one of the five Solas articulated by the Protestant Reformation. But what is the significance of this phrase? Sola Scriptura is the idea that the Bible is the final authority on what Christians believe and how we live. In this video,  Dr. Jordan Cooper from the "Just & Sinner" podcast is coming on the show to help us understand the growing need for sola scriptura in our day. False Conversions seems to be a topic of interest in the church. Some are concerned with the lack of faithfulness, others seem concerned with the lack of faith. There are groups whose sole purpose in life is to hunt down all the heretics in the world and assert their own superiority over them. Other groups don't care at all what you believe or how you live. If you say you are Christian they will give you the benefit of the doubt. Trying to understand these matters can be difficult. It is not our job to determine who is saved and who is not. However, if someone is lost and they are convinced they are saved, shouldn't we know how to speak truth into that space? Do you have a hard time trying to figure out who is a real convert and who is not? In this episode of remnant Radio, Evangelist Levi Luts will be with us. We are discussing unregenerate Christians, false conversions, and deceptive gospels that are leading people away from faith in Christ. This can be a divisive topic, but it does not need to be.
