Die Grenzen zwischen Psychologie und Hundetraining verschwimmen immer mehr: Wir verwenden die Lerntheorie, sprechen von Emotionen und Kognition und die Psyche des Hundes rückt immer mehr in den Fokus. Deshalb spreche ich in dieser Folge von Rund um Hund mit Véronique Mann darüber, ob wir die Humanpsychologie einfach so auf unsere Hunde übertragen können, wie Psychologie das Hundetraining beeinflusst und welche Mythen und Behauptungen bezüglich Psychologie im Hundetraining rumgeistern, die zumindest zu hinterfragen sind. Kein anderes Thema kann zu so grossen Konflikten in der Nachbarschaft führen wie das Bellen der Hunde. Im 2. Hunde-Update des Jahres 2025 stelle ich wiederum einige aktuelle Studien aus der Welt der Hunde vor. Diesmal etwa, ob Hunde weniger Frust zeigen, wenn ihr Mensch mit dabei ist oder nicht, ob Hunde die Perspektive eines Menschen einnehmen können und entsprechend handeln sowie ob die das Zuchtziel einer Hunderasse - in diesem Fall bezogen auf die Fähigkeit als Such- und Spürhund - tatsächlich Einfluss auf die Leistung bei olfaktorischen Tasks hat. Aversive Trainingsmethoden werden auch in wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten immer mal wieder als "besser" angesehen. Dabei ist mit "besser" meistens effizienter gemeint.
