Today’s guest is someone I’ve been wanting to talk with for years! She is hilarious… She is an award-winning comedian, actor and musician, Sandra Bernhard. Described as a “living, breathing bonfire” and “a super smart and slightly mad performer of stunning originality”, she began her career at L.A.’s famed Comedy Store in the ‘70s, and since then has written and starred in numerous one-woman shows, acted in movies and on television, recorded albums and authored books. She appeared more than 30 times on Late Night with David Letterman. She is probably best known for her roles as Nancy, the gay co-owner of the Lanford Lunch Box on Roseann She has a live show at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco on May 1st and at the Capitol Theater in Olympia, WA on May 2nd. I'm very honored and elated to welcome today's guest, Dan Price. He is the man of the moment. I'm sure you've read about him and his incredible decision. As the founder and CEO of Gravity Payments, a credit card processing firm, he recently announced raising his company minimum wage to $70,000 per year and himself taking a $930,000 pay cut · from 1 MM to $70K. Dan is not your typical CEO. His leadership has earned him multiple awards, including the 2014 Seattle Business CEO Excellence Award, 2013 Entrepreneur Magazine·s Entrepreneur Of 2014 and 2010 SBA National Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award! He was also featured in countless media, including Forbes, Business Week, and CNBC, among others. Those of you who are interested in the stock market and enjoyed listening to the recent episode with Frank Cruzio (episode 78) are in for another treat… Today’s guest is a rader who made millions by age 22 by investing his $12,415 in Bar Mitzvah gift money in penny stocks… He also started a hedge fund during his senior year in college that went on to become the #1 ranked short bias fund by Barclay for 3 years. His name is Tim Sykes. After his hedge fund went bust in 2007 (that’s right, don’t try to do this at home, folks!), Tim appeared on major TV networks and shows, including a popular reality TV show “Wall Street Warriors” which aired in 20+ countries and inspired hundreds of daily emails from fans wanting to know more about him and his trading strategy… He ended up writing about it openly in his self-published best-selling autobiography “An American Hedge Fund” and later started a publishing and financial education company. He now has 3,000+ students in over 70 countries that he teaches how to trade and grow thousands into millions. He also runs a social network for traders called Profit.ly, which has about 50,000 members, some of whom pay Tim to receive daily e-mail tips, weekly newsletters, and access to thousands of videos such as the trading webinar he’s just begun. My guest today is the diversely talented Jenni Pulos. Like a lot of us she has a maxed out to-do list. She is best known as Executive Assistant to Jeff Lewis on Bravo’s Emmy nominated hit show Flipping Out and it's spinoff show Interior Therapy. Flipping Out is currently filming it's eighth season with Jenni adding Co-Executive Producer to her very long to-do list which includes working as an actress, comedian, writer and rapper. Yes! She in fact won Showtime At The Apollo and was inspired to produce a rap album that just came out called Old School Kids Beats. She’s also the author of the book Grin and Bear It: How to be Happy No Matter What Reality Throws Your Way.I respect and love Jenni. A lot. Watching her on TV I feel as though we’d connect and you can probably tell that I had a huge giant smile on my face during this interview. She’s extremely down to earth, funny and real. She’s a business woman, wife, mom and all around cool chick.
