Discerning Between Holy & Profane (Jude Part III) // Dominick Butler “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love." John 15: 9 As we continued our exhaustive study on the Book of Jude we prefaced last night with an in depth look at John 15. John shares beautiful imagery of being attached to Jesus as branches are attached to the vine. Branches have no power to produce fruit without being attached to the life-source of the vine. In the same manner we can do nothing of substance without Him. John 15; showed us the progression of maturing through intimacy in His word & prayer. When we know the real we will not fall for the fake. Jude sounds the alarms on the symptoms & characteristics of false teachers & false doctrine. The sobering warnings create needed convictions in the Body to stay consistent in His word & righteous fellowship. As the night came to an end we saw salvation come, we saw hearts respond to the word of the Lord, and we were stirred afresh by His tangible Presence. The Ungodly (Jude Part II) // Dominick Butler "...I want to remind you, though you once knew this..." Jude 1:5 We as a body went through the examples of rebellion & disobedience in the Old Testament that Jude references in this small but revolutionary letter. Jude speaks of Israel's rebellion of unbelief in the aftermath of their deliverance from Egypt. Jude speaks of the wickedness of sexual immorality. Furthermore he shares of the destructive ways of Cain, Balaam & Korah. (V. 5-11). The fear of the Lord gripped the room as we read through these stories, reminding ourselves of how imperative it is we contend for the faith. There is a demonic pull in culture to sway the Church into compromise. Jude's letter is a sobering reminder of God's hatred of rebellion and how He's asking His Body to be a witnesses of His Kingdom. Having the knowledge of God and willfully choosing a different way is the most dangerous decision. Let us examine these passages deeply seeing the fulfillment of Christ representing and empowering those who joyously accept Him as Lord. Prayer; "Father, we ask for the spirit of wisdom & revelation pertaining to holiness. Contend for the Faith (Jude Part 1) // Dominick Butler Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.” Jude 1:3 NKJV We as a Body began examining the small but powerful book of Jude. We were reminded of how imperative it is we stand on the pure unchanging truth of God's word. Right before we dove into the study of Jude we magnified the Gospel and strengthened hearts with our purchased reality of freedom in Christ Jesus! Discipled By His Love (Philemon) // Dominick Butler Philemon 1:9; "...for love's sake..." The Letter Paul wrote to Philemon has such a deep well for us to drink from. The Gospel is on full display in the context of this letter. We as a body examined deeply Jesus' command after the foot washing before the Passover when He exclaimed in John 13:34-35; "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” God's love will challenge every ounce of pride within us. Last night the standard of Christ's love was exalted before our hearts. Behold The Lamb // Dominick Butler “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29) The significance of the lamb is all throughout scripture. God from the very beginning showed the imperative nature of satisfying the debt of transgressions with the shedding of blood. We went through multiple pinnacle references on the lamb in the book of Genesis. This led us all the way to a marked moment in time in Exodus 12, when the Passover was instituted to Moses. The Passover lamb is what exalts the fullness of the Cross of Christ. We as a Body need to learn and search the scriptures to discover the depths of our precious Lord. We are grateful for the Cross & Resurrection! Growing in Desire for God // Dominick Butler Knowledge of God will grant you an opportunity. Prioritizing the knowledge of God will grant you residency. Glory to Glory is becoming the vivid reality we as a Body are experiencing week to week. Last night the Church was commissioned to step into the example of hunger exhibited by Bartimaeus in Mark 10. When the Bridegroom was delayed // Dominick Butler The Holy Spirit illuminated the sobering reality of Matt 25: 1-13 to the Body. God desires us to seek Him. He rewards those who diligently seek Him. It is imperative we are actively pursuing Him. We cannot allow the busyness of life to come between the intimacy of our relationship with Him. God is looking for those who will wait for Him. Gio Muñoz of  @AbideChurch   // The Forerunner Spirit  What an awakening!  Last night we touched something Holy together as we lifted high the Name of Jesus in complete abandonment.   Pastor Gio came and delivered a 'NOW WORD' on the Forerunner Spirit. We looked at Matt 24:1-12; where Jesus is warning of the signs of the time giving way to His return. The stirring of the hearts in the room was tangible. Convictions were deepening as we married that passage to Isa 40.    As we came to the end of the evening Pastor Gio called out and identified the greatest hindrance to the Forerunner Spirit; 'sorrow.' The altar was full of vulnerable surrender. The Church was equipped last night by laying down disappointments & selfish expectations. Digging deep to remember; "GOD YOU SAID! GOD YOU PROMISED!" Standing on His Word regardless of what we've experienced thus far.    "When the Word of the Lord manifests in your life all of the doubters will have to observe their unbelief."
