This lesson reminds us to listen and obey our guides and follow our road map so that we do not end up off course. The children of Israel tried to replace Moses with Aaron while Moses was "gone too long". If we tried to replace our leader with someone who God has not called to be our leader, things will not go well for us.

This object lesson reminds us that we have FREE communication with Jesus because He paid the price (postage) for us.

This lesson reminds us that Jesus is the source of all power, but if we are not plugged into Him, it's like being near an outlet and not plugging your device in to charge it. The source is not doing you any good if you are not plugged in.

This object lesson reminds us that the Bible is our spiritual road map. Just like we use maps and GPS to find out where we are, where we are going and how to get there, the Bible tells us where we are in our journey with God, where we want to get to and how to get there.

This lesson reminds us that the Bible is our road map and our pastor, teachers and parents are guides to help us along our spiritual journey. Just as Moses and Joshua helped the children of Israel along their journey by following the directions of God, we need the Bible and our guides to help us see Jesus one day soon!

Following Jesus in our culture seems strange to most people…just like the people in Noah’s day couldn’t fathom RAIN and FLOODING because they had never seen that before. This illustration reminds us that we are not all the same, but we are all important and very needed in making the church run as God intended it! Everyone has a job and all jobs are necessary!! We need to do what God has called us to do. Just like the body does not function properly when it is missing body parts, so the church will not function properly without YOU!!
