The Art of Storyboarding for Product Managers

The Art of Storyboarding for Product Managers Here’s how storyboarding is used in product management: Idea Visualization: Storyboarding helps product managers transform abstract ideas or concepts into tangible and visual representations. It provides a clear and accessible way to convey product features and functionality. User Journey: Storyboards typically focus on the user’s journey or experience with the product. They illustrate the steps a user takes to accomplish a specific task or goal within the product. Communication: Product managers use storyboards to communicate their vision to various stakeholders, including designers, developers, marketing teams, and executives. It can bridge the gap between technical details and high-level concepts. Feedback and Collaboration: Storyboarding encourages collaboration and feedback. Cross-functional teams can provide input and suggestions, leading to a more refined and well-rounded product concept. Alignment: Storyboards help ensure that everyone involved in the product development process has a shared understanding of the user experience and product requirements. It aids in aligning the team’s efforts towards a common goal. User-Centric Design: By focusing on the user’s perspective, storyboarding reinforces a user-centric approach to product development. It helps in designing products that meet user needs and expectations. Validation: Storyboards can be used to validate product concepts with potential users or target customers. By presenting a visual narrative, product managers can gather early feedback to make necessary adjustments. Iterations: Storyboards are not set in stone. They can be iterated upon and refined as the product concept evolves or based on feedback received during the development process. 3 Toxic Communication Styles That End Relationships

3 Toxic Communication Styles That End Relationships Passive Communication: Passive communication is when you ignore or mask the truth about how you feel or what you want, usually as a way to avoid conflict. While passive communication often feels good in the moment because it makes you look self-sacrificing and generous (at least to yourself), it always fails in the long run because it’s fundamentally dishonest. Aggressive Communication: Aggressive communication is when you express your own wants and needs without regard for the rights and preferences of others. Importantly, aggression is usually not the result of pure malice or a psychopathic lack of empathy; instead, it’s a reaction to fear and insecurity. Despite how it appears on the surface, anger is actually a positive emotion in the sense that it feels good to be angry. When we’re angry, the underlying assessment is that someone or something is wrong, and by extension, we’re right. This boosts our ego. Passive Aggressive Communication: Passive-aggressive communication is when you’re too angry to keep quiet and too afraid to be honest. Recall that passive communication involves being overly deferential to other people and dishonest with yourself, whereas aggressive communication is the opposite, being honest about your own wishes but in a way that’s disrespectful to others. The third toxic form of communication, passive-aggressive, is the worst of both worlds: dishonest to yourself and disrespectful to others.

Scrum to Optimize Predictability & Control Risk - Blog Post Review

Scrum to Optimize Predictability & Control Risk - https://medium.com/@kalosbonasia/scrum-to-optimise-predictability-and-control-risk-e7edcf3303ed Scrum can help #teams continuously deliver value to customers, but it is incomplete by definition because it only focuses on the practices needed to support its three pillars: transparency, inspection and adaptation. #Scrum seeks to optimise #predictability and control risk to enable frequent delivery. Scrum also seeks to harness the potential of people who have the #skills to get the job done, while setting delivery expectations for the customer. Scrum also makes headwinds in the organization more visible, so that #people can take steps to #improve the way they do things. Agile, ADHD, & Time Blindness

Agile, ADHD, & Time Blindness Base my personal planning on empiricism, and expect extra time when something is unknown. Use a daily standup, where I inspect and adept my personal plan. Make sure that any task I have, is cut up into smaller pieces, which can be done within max 2 hours. Use weekly goals to make sure I make progress in small significant ways. Timebox my tasks to create focus.
