Paris Attacks and the Rise of Islamophobia
Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi ponders over the recent backlash on the Muslims after the recent Paris bombings. Dr. Qadhi assists the Muslims via ways to overcome such trials and tribulations in any part of the world.
Our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ has said: "Later times are going to be afflicted with trials you are going to find difficult to bare" and "Every time one comes, it will make the previous one look trivial". The people will say "this is the one, this is the one" thinking it is much more than the previous.”
The above Hadith is the reality of the hour with Islamophobia at its peak. The reality of the hour is also the need for the Muslim Ummah to step up. We should let go of our nonchalant and ignorant attitude towards these trials and adopt a constructive approach filled with propagation of the truth of Islam for the betterment of Islam. The approach should be by two means - religion and activism.
These trials of Fitan have only been brought down into this trivial world to purify the hearts of the hearts of the believers and reinstall undying faith and love for the religion of Islam. Hence, it is our primary duty to do whatever it takes within permissible limits to ensure that our Deen does not suffer at the hands of these monstrosities.

The Heart vs The Brain
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi delves into a comparison of the faculties of thought and emotion - the brain and the heart. He goes on to say that if the heart is pure , then the rest of the body is also consequently pure.
By ascribing the Iman to our Qalb or heart, Allah signifies its importance. Allah has written directly written Iman into our hearts and it is indeed a great blessing.
Allah mentions in the Quran in Surah Al Hujurat, verses 7 -8:
‘But Allah has endeared to you the faith and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience. Those are the [rightly] guided. [It is] as bounty from Allah and favor. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.’

It is a common occurrence where every convert brother or sister who comes into the religion of Islam is countered with almost 10 times the number thinking of leaving Islam.same is the case with Friday prayers where there are a few Muslims who simply do not care about Islam at all.
In today's challenging atmosphere, we encounter many Muslims having apprehensions, doubts and uncertainties regarding their Deen and a blanket of skepticism and agnosticism takes precedence and often succeeds in poisoning the Muslim Ummah from inside.
