The Sources of Islamophobia and How To Deal With It
Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi analyses the goals of Islamophobia in America and the need for Muslims to comprehend the tricks game being adopted for the same. He advises a spiritual and pragmatic approach to be adopted.
Shaykh Yasir goes on to examine the reason for this xenophobia and Islamophobia that is widely prevalent around us. The unprecedented hatred against the Muslims in this land, the rise of anti Islamophobic crimes and much more can be attributed largely to ignorance of the people and also due to genuine worry and fear for their own kith and kin.
The hatred, animosity and misinterpretation that we see around us is actually the result of the people being terrified and scared due to the thought of having to part with his freedom and being jeopardised. At some level, they want to protect their civilization and this hatred is coming from this aspect.
The oppositions are of two kinds :
Genuinely deluded, scared and yet sincere people who we can hope to change for the better.
Bonafide bigots and racists whom we should leave to Allah to deal with.

Oh Allah, Please forgive me
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi ponders on our nature of trivializing the sins committed by us and being completely ignorant of being thankless of the bounties of Allah SWT.
How do we get rid of these sins? Only and only by performing Tawba and Istighfar (repentance and forgiveness) because of our sins.
Four of the major sins committed by Muslims:
Shirk
Having the feeling that the Help of Allah will not arrive
Feeling safe from the potting of Allah
Feeling despair from the Mercy of Allah.
The Prophet ﷺ said, “Every son of Adam commits sin, and the best of those who commit sin are those who repent.”
Allah (SWT) likes us to be constantly repentant. Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said, “Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than anyone of you is pleased with finding his camel which he had lost in the desert. ”
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ﷺ saying: "Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, said: My mercy excels My wrath".
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "A believer sees his sins as if he were sitting under a mountain which, he is afraid, may fall on him; whereas the wicked person considers his sins as flies passing over his nose and he just drives them away like this (and he moved his hand over his nose in illustration).
Just as we need the forgiveness of Allah for our own sins and mistakes, we must also practice forgiveness toward those who have wronged us.
