110 / The Perfection Infection with Jill Savage
Perfection is the enemy of confidence. It tells us we need to do it all, be it all, have it all, look good while we’re doing it AND somehow make it look effortless.
I am Nicole Kalil, a recovering perfectionist - and on today’s episode, we are going to talk about what my guest calls, the perfection infection. Jill Savage is the author of fourteen books: No More Perfect Moms, No More Perfect Kids and No More Perfect Marriages among them. She also hosts the No More Perfect podcast with her husband, Mark. I think it’s pretty obvious that Jill has a very clear message. Known for her honest and engaging communication both as a speaker and in life, she’s here today to challenge us to stop comparing our insides to other people’s outsides.
I’m going to give it to you straight…you will never arrive at confidence via the perfectionism highway. Grace, kindness, messy imperfect action, trusting yourself, especially during the hard times, that’s the stuff of real confidence. Confidence is your choice to make anytime you want, because that is woman’s work.

109 / Why Every Entrepreneur Should Write A Book With Anna David
Books are my happy place and for as long as I can remember it’s been on my bucket list to write one. And now I’ve officially checked that off my list with Validation Is For Parking.
One thing I’ve come to realize is that a book isn’t just a book. It’s so much more, and if you’re building a business you might want to consider writing one. Chief among the many reasons to do it is that your story matters. And, that we need more books (especially in business) to be authored by women.
Here to help us think bigger about that is Anna David - New York Times bestseller of eight books, founder of Legacy Launchpad Publishing and three time Tedx speaker. Anna’s first novel, Party Girl, is in development as a feature film and she hosts the hit podcast, Entrepreneur Publishing Academy.
And while I’d encourage everyone with the desire to write their book to do it, I will share that it’s hard. So when the women around us do brave and bold things it gives us the opportunity to support and celebrate it. We must. Because doing brave and bold things? Well, that is woman’s work.
“If you’re an entrepreneur who hasn’t published a book, you’re allowing your competitors to take your clients” - Anna David

107 / Burnout with Cait Donovan
I am intimately familiar with this topic, and I can’t think of a more relevant and timely conversation than this one with Cait Donovan, leading burnout expert, author of The Bouncebackability Factor and host of “Fried. The Burnout Podcast”.
Run down. Drained. Exhausted. Worn Out. Nothing left in the tank. Ever wonder why there are so many ways of saying burnout?? It’s probably because far too many of us are experiencing this far too often.
And let’s be real, communicating healthy boundaries is hardest when you’re stressed and overwhelmed. It’s also when it’s most important.
So let’s do it together. Less perfection, more REAL. Less martyr, more grace. Less worry, more trust. Less other people’s expectations, more honoring ourselves. Because THAT is woman’s work!

106 / What Men And Women Need To Know About Working Together with Joanne Lipman
I firmly believe that gender expectations damage everyone, and that in order for ALL of us to achieve equity, it’s going to require not just women to fight for what’s right, but everyone.
But men often share that they feel like they’re walking on eggshells and are afraid to say and do the wrong things. While I don’t feel sorry for them, I do have empathy. And I’m not talking about the a-holes here, but the men who want to be part of the solution.
Which is why I invited Joanne Lipman on the show. Joanne is the author of the national bestseller, That’s What She Said: What Men and Women Need to Know About Working Together, former editor-in-chief at USA Today and Conde Nast, and referral from Adam Grant (who I’m professionally obsessed with). She drops some serious (and well researched) knowledge!
We’ll all get where we want to go faster, if we work together. Good men can’t stay silent and a little extra empathy across the board wouldn’t hurt anyone. “Woman’s Work” will be what WE make it, so let's work together to make it something amazing.
P.S. This is a great listen for anyone of any gender, especially those who are leading others.
To follow Joanne you can visit her website at www.joannelipman.com or on IG @joannelipman. And you can buy her book That’s What She Said on Amazon.

105 / The Power Of Connection with Tory Archbold
The power of connection is undeniable. You can’t go very far in life or in business without relationships, and none of us are meant to go it alone. But building relationships, meeting new people, and creating genuine connections may come easier to some of us than others. And some people have turned it into their super power.
Our guest on this episode of This Is Woman’s Work is a master connector. Tory Archbold, CEO and Founder of Powerful Steps, has connected with some of the world’s most influential celebrities, entrepreneurs, and CEOs, and is herself one of the most powerful women in Australia. She shares her tips and strategies for continuously making new and better connections!
We, as women, have an advantage here… we’ve been building, nurturing and maintaining relationships far longer and better than anyone. We connect, deeply and intimately. We have great power we can use for good. So let’s step into that power, together.

104 / The Power Of The Feminine with Lynne Sheridan and Lisa Kalmin
Lisa Kalmin and Lynne Sheridan are both repeat guests on the podcast, and transformational leaders who have impacted hundreds of thousands of people, including me. I’ve asked them to join me to talk about the evolution of woman's work, and the challenges and opportunities of being a woman today.
Inside you there lives an inner knowing that you have purpose, you have value, you are worthy simply because you exist. Who are you? What are you here to be?
Give of your talents, your unique abilities, your super powers - give, but NEVER let it empty you. Inside you lives a badass. It’s time to listen to her. It’s time to live your truth. I can’t think of anything that’s more “woman’s work” than that.
Click HERE for the free recording to the workshop Gracefully Moving Into the Emerging Woman You Are. Lisa and Lynne’s Badass Women’s Leadership Summit will be held October 7th-9th in Palm Springs, CA.

103 / Magic Words For Getting More Sales with Nicole Cramer
You’re always selling something... your product, your vision, your services, your value. And let’s face it, people with far less talent and care than you, are winning opportunities because they are better at selling.
This is a skill I’ve both taught and avoided, done well and absolutely sucked at.
Because I know it’s not just me, I’ve asked Nicole Cramer - sales coach, speaker, CEO and Exactly What To Say official certified guide to join me on the podcast. Nicole specializes in high touch relationship based selling, that has multiplied conversion rates by over 400%. She’s going to help us to turn more of our conversations into clients and I couldn’t be more excited to learn from her.
I don’t care what you do for a living, you are in sales. Whether it’s influencing your kids to eat healthy or go to bed, advocating for yourself and the dream job or promotion you want, or impacting customers or clients with your product or service - You Are Selling. And so am I, so we might as well be great at it.

102 / Remote Work Is The Future with Lona Alia
In an ever changing world with increasing access to better technology, resources and people than in any other time in history, it’s amazing to me how many organizations and leaders refuse to test out new ways of allowing their teams to work.
Despite the evidence that flexible work environments, schedules and trusting your people is profitable, organizations are still trying to force their team back to pre-covid work environments.
On today’s episode I welcome Lona Alia - she is an expert on building revenue channels and fully remote teams. Head of Revenue at Safety Wing (where they have 100% retention… seriously), Advisor to Startups and EU for Innovation, Lona is a remote work advocate and Digital Nomad who has worked and traveled to over 80 countries and has learned 7 languages. She is even building the first country on the internet.
I see far too many of us staying in unhealthy, unsupportive work environments out of some sense of displaced loyalty, or fear of change, or unwillingness to take strategic risks. Women make up a large and necessary part of the workforce. We have power. It’s time we use it for ourselves and everyone else that’s being underserved by their company. That is woman’s work.

101 / Rejecting The Invisible Workload with Kelli Thompson
“We expect women to work like they don’t have children, and raise children like they don’t work.” As a mom, this hits me so hard. How much longer are women going to be willing to carry this invisible load? And did you know it’s not just happening at home, but at work too?!
Here today to have this incredibly important conversation is Kelli Thompson - Leadership Coach and Speaker, who helps women advance to the rooms where decisions are made. We are kindred spirits in that we both have books about confidence coming out this Fall. Hers is titled “Closing The Confidence Gap” and it comes out on November 1st. Her thought leadership has been featured in Forbes, Parents Magazine, and her article in HuffPost (on this very topic) is what caught my eye.
As Kelli says “The way we lead more, is by doing less.” And all the women said “AMEN!” You may be thinking “But I can’t say no,” Yes you can! You have way more power than you recognize. And recognizing that power…well I’d argue, that’s where woman’s work begins.
