The inspiration for this was a magical grimoire call The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage. He made a study of accounts of people living alone. Eventually, he spent one week alone on Mount Shasta in northern California. This experience was important for character development. Here he shares his optimistic vision of a world in which universal education is understood to be an initiatory process.
