Virtual Reality with Jason Reza Jorjani

Jason Reza Jorjani, PhD, is a philosopher and author of Prometheus and Atlas, World State of Emergency, Lovers of Sophia, Novel Folklore: The Blind Owl of Sadegh Hedayat, and Iranian Leviathan: A Monumental History of Mithra’s Abode. Here he discusses virtual reality and other simulacra with a view to understanding paranormal phenomena. Among the subjects discussed are augmented reality, the simulation argument, and aspects of quantum theory that can best be understood in the context of the simulation hypothesis. The discussion concludes with an examination of the holographic universe theory. A number of examples are drawn from popular film, literature, and video games. Many viewers will know that Jason Reza Jorjani has suffered from libel and persecution as a result of his, generally misunderstood, political views. He is a brilliant scholar who has now been unfairly disgraced and is forced to fight a legal battle, while continuing his research and writing, without any regular employment. Therefore we have set up this “Go Fund Me” page in order to assist this worthy individual. Please visit https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-fund-jason-reza-jorjani039s-next-project and contribute generously. The Psychology of Meditation with Kiran Kumar Salagame

Kiran Kumar Salagame, PhD, is former chairman of the psychology department at the University of Mysore, India. He is also vice-president of the International Transpersonal Association. He is author of The Psychology of Meditation: A Contextual Approach. Here he describes his research to investigate whether meditators experienced detrimental effects from their practice. He distinguishes between the use of meditation to remove anxiety, depression and illness and its traditional, original purpose of self-realization. He discusses the yoga system of chakras. New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. Globalization with James Tunney

James Tunney, LLM, is an Irish Barrister who has lectured on legal matters throughout the world. He is a poet, a visual artist, and also author of The Mystical Accord: Sutras to Suit Our Times, Lines for Spiritual Evolution. In addition, he has written two dystopian novels — Blue Lies September, and Ireland I Don’t Recognize Who She Is. His website is http://www.jamestunney.com. Here he shares his interest, as a legal scholar, in understanding issues related to globalization — as it effects economics, the rights of indigenous peoples, intellectual property law, and national sovereignty. Of particular concern is the issue of governance and the protection of individual rights. He notes that various social movements have goals regarding the establishment of a global order under their jurisdiction. These include Catholicism, Islam, and Communism. The most dangerous competitor for world domination, and most likely to succeed, he believes, is scientism. New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in “parapsychology” ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). Black African Origins of Ancient Egyptian Culture with Thomas Brophy

Thomas Brophy, PhD, is president of the California Institute of Human Science. He also serves as president of the Society for Consciousness Studies. He is author of The Mechanism Demands a Mysticism: An Exploration of Spirit, Matter and Physics (see https://amzn.to/3abDkGz) as well as The Origin Map: Discovery of a Prehistoric, Megalithic, Astrophysical Map and Sculpture of the Universe (see https://amzn.to/30hM9tH). He has also coauthored, two books with Robert Bauval titled Black Genesis: The Prehistoric Origins of Ancient Egypt (see https://amzn.to/2Rhh1qb) and Imhotep the African: Architect of the Cosmos (see https://amzn.to/38721SD). His websites are https://www.cihs.edu/ and https://consc.org/. Here he describes his research in portions of the Sahara desert that are rarely explored where he encountered prehistoric, megalithic structures of astronomical significance, as well as rock paintings and inscriptions. He explains how these artifacts were created by the black population at a time when the area produced rains and had many animals. When the climate changed, he believes that these people migrated east and north and helped to create the culture of ancient Egypt. Transhumanism and the Technological Singularity with Jason Reza Jorjani

Here he discusses the convergence of genetics, robotics, information, and nanotechnologies towards a singularity, beyond which we will enter a transhuman condition. These ideas are explored with a view to incorporate evidence from parapsychology and consciousness research. The discussion includes numerous examples from popular culture. Many viewers will know that Jason Reza Jorjani has suffered from libel and persecution as a result of his, generally misunderstood, political views. The Need for Novel Folklore in an Iranian Renaissance with Jason Reza Jorjani

Here he explains what “novel folklore” is and why it is needed in any authentic renaissance movement. Sadegh Hedayat has sometimes been mischaracterized as an advocate for the restoration of Zoroastrianism in Iran. This discussion of Jorjani’s exegesis of Hedayat’s classic, dark novel, The Blind Owl, reveals the much more complex vision that Hedayat had for the evolution of Iranian civilization. The discussion treats questions such as reincarnation, taboos, and social customs. New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is a past vice-president of the Association for Humanistic Psychology; and is the recipient of the Pathfinder Award from that Association for his contributions to the field of human consciousness exploration. Paranormal Experiences in Psychotherapy with Paul J. Leslie

Paul J. Leslie, EdD, is a psychotherapist in private practice in Aiken, South Carolina. He is professor of psychology at Aiken College. He is author of The Art of Creating a Magical Session: Key Elements for Transformative Psychotherapy, Low Country Shamanism: An Exploration of the Magical and Healing Practices of the Coastal Carolinas and Georgia, Potential Not Pathology: Helping Your Clients Transform Using Ericksonian Psychotherapy, and Shadows in the Session: The Presence of the Anomalous in Psychotherapy. Here he describes the difficulty felt by many psychotherapists and their clients in engaging in conversations regarding paranormal experiences. Much of this is due to the fact that such experiences are also considered a symptom of psychosis and may require medication. The problem is pronounced when therapists have their own paranormal experiences within a therapy session. He shares one such extraordinary experience of his own; and reports on accounts presented by other therapists.
