Drowning In Admin: Why 60% Of Teachers Want To Quit

New research has found that more than half of all Aussie teachers are planning to quit their jobs, as low wages, excessive amounts of admin and poor working conditions continue to take their toll. But is it really all that bad, and if so, why isn't more being done to help them stay in the job they love, and that is so important within our community? The Quicky speaks to two teachers, one who has resigned and one who is thinking about quitting, to find out how the situation has become so bad, and what can change to ensure that people who dedicate themselves to educating children stick with their career. Should Australia Adopt Period Leave For Employees?

The Spanish Government recently announced that it is considering creating new laws that would give employees the right to take between 3 and 5 days off every month if they suffer from severe period pain. Several other countries around the world already have period leave, so should our Government consider implementing the same laws for people here? The Quicky speaks to an expert in women's health, and a specialist doctor to find out whether period leave is necessary for female workers, and if and how it could work here in Australia without bankrupting businesses. How Halsey Exposed The Music Industry's Obsession With TikTok

Last month, one of the music industry's biggest artists, Halsey posted a video on her social media that was viewed by 8 million people in just 24 hours, but not for the reasons her record label was hoping. After she spoke out about not being allowed to release her new song unless they could 'fake' a viral moment on TikTok, numerous other artists came forward to say they too were being pressured to create content instead of focusing on their music. The Quicky speaks to two entertainment and music experts to find out whether the music industry has now become so commercialised that it's actually no longer about the songs, and all about the likes and social media following, and what musicians can do to push back. Sibling Rivalry: Is It Inevitable?

Squabbling with your siblings is pretty common when you're kids, but what happens if that escalates into a full-blown rivalry, or something even worse when you become adults? Is it inevitable that you will always feel in some kind of competition with your brothers and sisters, or can some siblings have fantastic relationships throughout their lives? Is it a case of nurture rather than nature, meaning that parents can take steps to ensure you get along? The Quicky speaks to an expert in family relationships to find out what the psychology behind sibling rivalry is, and what both parents and kids can do to stop it before it escalates.
