A Year of Reflection
This week's edition of The Big Talk podcast is an incredibly special one for me as we celebrate our 400th episode. On today's show, I am reflecting back on the amazing year we've had here at The Big Talk even in the midst of a global pandemic and massive shutdowns. I've had the honor of interviewing people like Stedman Graham, Tony Award Winning Cady Huffman, Dr. Judy Ho, Marshall Goldsmith, Farnoosh Torabi, Wayne Dyer's daughters Saje & Serena, my TEDx speakers, Speakers Who Dare, and so many other powerful, influential voices! I also promised this year to go deeper with you all and open up my heart as I revealed more of myself. After all, if I'm going to ask my speakers to be vulnerable, I need to be vulnerable as well. It's been quite a journey, and I can't wait to talk about it all with you this week! In this episode, we'll explore: The significance of the number 400 How The Big Talk podcast began and how it has evolved Reflections from my year and what they mean for you The magic in the process and revisiting your limiting beliefs More from Tricia Amplify your voice in 2022 with The Big Talk New Year Workbook Order my book, The Influential Voice: Saying What You Mean for Lasting Legacy Join The Big Talk Membership Community Download my FREE Ebook: 7 Step Formula for Fearless Speaking Explore my content and follow me on YouTube Follow me on Instagram Connect with me on Facebook Connect with me on LinkedIn Visit my website at TriciaBrouk.com

Speaking with Courage and Humility with Dr. Kristen Donnelly
Today, we're talking about empathy, privilege, systems, and the courage it takes to use your voice when you have something truly important to say. For this crucial conversation, I'm once again being joined by an incredible speaker and my dear friend Dr. Kristen Donnelly. Kristen is passionate about stories and how they shape us. She's been researching, learning, and telling them for over twenty years as she's traveled the world. Kristen holds a masters degree in international social work and one in cross-cultural religious anthropology. She also has a PhD in sociology from Queen's University Belfast. Throughout all of those programs, she learned three key things about humanity: it's the same everywhere; different people are different; and everyone is more complicated than we give them credit for. Professionally, she's one of The Good Doctors of Abbey Research and COO of Abbey Companies. She lives outside Philadelphia with her husband, where they are surrounded by video game consoles and piles of books. In this episode, we'll explore: Her unique family experience growing up and how it played into who she is now The systems that are deeply embedded in our society and our world Approaching things from a place of authenticity, humility, and curiosity How your voice continues to evolve, learning to take constructive criticism, and being gentle with your former self Kristen's current favorites — Book: A Time to Kill, Speakers: Rob Bell & Brené Brown, and Podcast: Sinisterhood More from Kristen Her first appearances on The Big Talk podcast in Episode 150 and Episode 335. The Power of Transformative Purpose with Alejandra Deluca
This week, we're talking about finding your purpose and embracing that purpose to heal and to transform the lives of others. For this amazing conversation, I'm joined by the equally amazing Alejandra Deluca. As a speaker, thought leader, Pranic Healing senior instructor, meditation guide, healer, and student of shamanic studies and Native American cultures, Alejandra sees the interconnectedness of the Universe in all she does. She believes that finding and living your purpose in life is the secret to true happiness. She also believes that once you have found this purpose, it is your obligation to share this vibration with others, raising all up to a state of well-being and peace. Even as a young child, Alejandra always knew she wanted to help and serve other people. She also was heavily influenced by the healing and meditation teachings of her grandmother, a spiritual teacher of high degree. She has since found her purpose and has defined her mission: "To share the knowledge, wisdom, and gifts that have been bestowed upon me with the world - one soul at a time. To help you find peace, love, and joy in your heart, and go from good to greater, holding space for you to craft your heart, and yourself so that you can live a more fulfilling life." Creating Visibility With Your Story with Jane Tabachnick
This week on The Big Talk podcast, we're talking all about the power of using your story to create visibility and to amplify your voice. For this episode, I'm joined by the amazing and always fashionable, Jane Tabachnick. Jane is an award-winning digital public relations and marketing strategist and mentor. She is a former fashion designer. And she is also the founder of Simply Good Press, a book publishing firm. She brings 15 years of experience working with changemakers to help them create greater visibility and buzz which helps them easily attract and close more of their ideal customers. We start our conversation diving into Jane's backstory as a self-proclaimed recovering fashion designer. She loved the world of fashion design. And she also realized that a part of her role as the designer and business owner was to pitch the story of her designs and run PR for her design house. The clothes told their own visual story, and the media wanted a story told to them with words that they could share with their audience. Eventually, Jane discovered that she loved storytelling more than fashion. And since leaving the fashion business, she has begun helping other entrepreneurs and brands tell their stories more successfully. In this episode, we'll explore: The power of using your voice for publicity in your business — because yes, being a speaker is also a business Why your mindset matters when it comes to be featured in the media Crafting your story pitch to stand out and researching the places you want to be featured How and when to follow up with a pitch Jane's current favorites — Book: Rebecca, Speaker: Brené Brown, and Podcast: How I Built This More from Jane Website: https://janetabachnick.com/ Take Her Free Visibility Assessment: https://janetabachnick.com/assessment/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jmtabachnick/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/janetabachnick/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/janetabachnick More from Tricia Consistently Share Your Big Idea with Secrets of The Big Talk Order my book, The Influential Voice: Saying What You Mean for Lasting Legacy Join The Big Talk Membership Community Download my FREE Ebook: 7 Step Formula for Fearless Speaking Explore my content and follow me on YouTube Follow me on Instagram Connect with me on Facebook Connect with me on LinkedIn Visit my website at TriciaBrouk.com
