The Life-Changing Magic Of Exercise
— By thinking it's all about physical health, we are under-utilizing "the workout." Renown fit pro, Ellen Barrett, discusses how you can use movement to enhance every facet of your life, body, mind & spirit. It's a key to longevity and happiness, when you do it right. One of the topics of this conversation is lifestyle medicine which is about choosing the good for you variation more often than not! Ellen explains that there's big lifestyle medicine and then there is a subtler kind — exercise habit is big, and the "big three" are sleep, diet and exercise. She always put sleep first because so much physical and mental restoration happens during sleep. But she asks us not to underestimate (or ignore) the subtler medicine. Eliminating The Root Causes Of Addiction
One of the myths that surround "negative" emotions is that if we look at them, they become real and they become bigger but if ignore them they eventually go away. As if we can just forget them by denying their existence. That could not be further from the truth. The symptom may temporarily alleviate but the feelings always lurk around waiting to return at the soonest circumstance that will grant them access to return. By facing the emotion, however, we give it a voice and offer it a chance to be known, serve its purpose and be able to safely discharge. In this way, we do not let it fester and grow and do sneaky self-sabotage attacks. Instead, we make room, invite it in and allow it to be known and be reconciled with our psyche. When we stop searching for these missing parts of us because we gave them permission to return to us, we no longer chase the addiction as the addiction itself was just a means of avoidance. We stop the avoidance, the addiction voluntarily relinquishes. Valeria Teles interviews Saman Nasir aka Samy — a Healer, Meditation Coach, Certified Hypnotherapist, A Member Of The American Hypnosis Association, Instructor At The Hypnosis Motivation Institute, And Speaker Saman Nasir has been helping people make positive changes in their lives for over 10 years. Spirituality: Wholeness And Real Beauty
— One of the most valuable lessons Rob Gentile learned from his near-death experience is that; real beauty comes from the inside. It was his daughter Maria who taught him this when Rob saw her in the Ethereal. Here in the temporal realm, she is unable to walk, talk or feed herself — she has special needs. But in the spiritual realm she is perfect and whole. It's through children like Maria with special needs that we can hear God whispering, "Look at me, I'm right here." They have no ulterior motives, they are pure, innocent vessels that God speaks through. We are spiritual beings living inside fragile clay vessels we call bodies. When we focus on the real beauty within, we become less judgmental and more accepting of others. Valeria Teles interviews Rob A. Gentile — the author of "Quarks of Light: A Near-Death Experience." Rob is the son of Italian immigrants. His father worked in a steel-mill, and so he grew up in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. Gentile has spent his career as a sales representative in the steel industry while married to his wife, Melanie, for over 30 years. Together, they have devoted themselves to their special needs daughter, Maria, who is in her twenties, and whom Rob refers to as "pure spirit." Throughout her childhood, he grappled with difficult questions about prayer and why children must suffer. Answers came in a sudden and unexpected way—at age 56 he had a massive heart attack, then flatlined, and had a near-death experience (NDE). Self-discovery and spiritual awakening continued while waiting to receive a donor heart. His journey provides a roadmap for overcoming adversity, staying in spirit, and addressing the most troubling questions of our time. He shares the insights learned from his spiritual awakening. Grief And Graceful Acceptance
— The most important part of grief that you must understand, especially if you have family or friends who are grieving too, is that everyone will grieve and react differently. Every aspect of your grief may be opposite of your mother's, sister's, father's, friend's, or partner's. Once you accept that you have no control over other people's actions or grief, you can focus on your needs and give others the acceptance they need to focus on their grief as well. Valeria Teles interviews Megan Young — the author of "Life After Loss Workbook: Guided Exercises & Practices to Help You Understand Grief Following The Death Of A Loved One." Megan Young is a trained life coach with experience in life transitions and grief. Through the experience with her life coach 13 years ago, Megan discovered the life changing effect powerful questioning, accountability and solution-based guidance provides. It wasn't until the passing of her sister that she felt a calling to transition into her current role as a life coach and author of the Life After Loss Workbook. Coach Megan's strong curiosity with human behavior and healing drives her to find innovative and effective techniques for helping her clients. Whether you are transitioning into a different career, experiencing grief, or entering into a new life stage, you will find the support and guidance you need. Megan and her husband have two sons, Dudley the cat and 11 chickens. As a small-town girl who escaped to the city, she finally embraced the saying, "You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl" and moved to the Texas Hill Country outside of Austin. There, Megan loves to lend support and encouragement to her community, family, and friends.
