Facing Your Fears Is Essential For Mental Health

— Facing your fears is important for your mental health. Fear inoculation is an essential process used by therapists to help people overcome anxiety by willfully exposing them to their fears over time until they eventually conquer them. 'Willfully' is the key word. Using your will to effectively overcome the unthinkable. Conquering your fears is about finding comfort in chaos and the unknown as well as developing the ability to perform in high intensity environments. Fear will always be there but it's what we choose to do that makes all the difference. Managing fear will lead you to live tenaciously, become more competent and most importantly, it will set you free. What are you afraid of? What is holding you back from living the life you want? Valeria Teles interviews Matthew Gagne — the Founder Of Flock Goods, Guinness World Record Holder, Former Professional Skydiver, And Speaker Matthew Gagne, in his former career as a professional skydiver, he trained Navy Seals and served as flight instructor for Al Gore, Will Smith, Jaden Smith, Trey Smith, Kirby Chambliss, and Tyrese. Natural Healing With Chanting

— Vibration is everything. Literally. And your vibration (the energy and frequency you project into the world) determines your experiences, your results, and the opportunities you create and attract in your life. When you are connected to your authentic voice, you naturally feel good and attract more wonderful things into your life. When you are disconnected you feel bad, and it can quickly become a downward spiral. The great news is …There are so many ways you can connect yourself to a higher vibration. Through prayer, dance, movement, yoga, meditation, eating healthy food, exercise, gratitude exercises – there's lots you can do. However, one of the quickest and most overlooked ways is through sound – and more specifically – through chanting. Valeria Teles interviews Nikki Slade — the author of "The Healing Power of Chanting: An Inspirational Journey Of Freeing The Inner Voice." Nikki Slade is a leading pioneer in the field of chanting, core voice and sound work in the UK. Nikki has inspired thousands of individuals to chant and has led chanting workshops in a wide variety of settings including corporations such as M&C Saatchi, Deutcshe Bank and Cisco. She has been resident Kirtan leader at triyoga London for 20 years and has also taken her cutting edge approach to working with the voice into Wandsworth men's prison. She was the resident voice and sound facilitator at the Priory hospital in North London for 20 years where she impacted the recovery of hundreds of addicts and for the past 5 years she has been facilitating chanting workshops at the half-way recovery house Start 2 Stop. Nikki has released 4 successful mantra and chanting recordings including: Nectarine, Monsoon, Soundscape and her latest double album Epiphany. She is also author of the popular book 'The Healing Power of Chanting'. In recent years she has pioneered Kirtan in the mainstream areas of Glastonbury Festival and Latitude. She has travelled the world with her work to places including California, Singapore, NYC, Europe and Melbourne, Australia. She led a chant for over 2000 people at the 11.11.11 Mind, Body, Spirit show and at the 12.12.12 Oneness ceremony in London. How To Live A Magical Life!

— "You're waiting for an elevator, but it's not coming fast enough. So you press the button again and again, fidgeting, tapping your feet, shuffling back and forth and otherwise making obvious gestures of irritation and impatience – as if all that is going to make the elevator arrive faster. It's not. You're just wasting time and energy, while working yourself into a tizzy, over something you can't control anyway. Silly, right? Yet we do stuff like that all the time." Valeria Teles interviews Ryn Gargulinski — the author of "The 12 Steps For Everyone: Adaptation Of The Steps For Folks Not In Recovery." Ryn Gargulinski (aka Rynski) is a writer, artist, Reiki master, coach, consultant, dog lover and mystic healer who once traded her artwork on the streets of New York City just to eat and get her daily beer. She has since given up drinking and now has enough money to eat (even organic!). She has also expanded her art into a successful enterprise, her writing into a thriving business, and her consulting, coaching, Reiki and speaking into a growing practice that has already helped many attain freedom from the self-made chains that bind. She has nine published books, more than dozen awards, and 21 years in recovery from alcohol. Don't forget the two happy hounds, one happy hubby, and one helluva crystal collection. Ryn's life purpose is to use her creativity, experience and humor to inspire others to live magical lives filled with freedom and joy. And yes, that includes bringing freedom and joy to dogs. Creating The Love Life You Deserve

— Love is a full body-based feeling that resonates in every cell of your body. When we feel securely and genuinely loved, we know deep in our bones that we have a homeport in the heart of that one special person. Moreover, love is the earthiest of experiences. It's waking up at 3:00 a.m. and feeling the warmth of your beloved's skin touching you as you drift back to dreamland. It's smelling the scent of their body and sensing the soothing familiarity of it all. Genuine, secure love is sharing a host of little moments with each other as you go through your day. It's that lingering hug and kiss as you leave for work; it's getting a quick text message with a simple, silly red heart that says, "You matter so much to me." Love is seeing a smiling face or hearing a soothing voice as you walk through the door at the end of a harried day that says, "Welcome home, darling." It's stopping your life to listen when your beloved is overwhelmed or troubled; it's praising them for the smallest of achievements just because you take notice. Love is all of this and much, much more." Valeria Teles interviews Dr. Gary D. Salyer — the author of "Safe to Love Again: How to Release the Pain of Past Relationships and Create the Love You Deserve." Dr. Gary Salyer is a transformational relationship mentor. For the last decade, Dr. Salyer has been in private practice offering singles and couples heart-centered transformation so they can re-write the rules for love in their brains and create a love that lasts. Creating A World Of Love, Joy, And Peace

— What kind of world do you want to live in? One that's over-populated, polluted, with no nutritional food to eat, no clean water to drink, and people that are always fighting each other and at war? Or do we want a world of love, joy, peace, and caring? The choice is ours as a race to decide, but it starts one person at a time. If every person awakened, made heart-centered decisions, and did their part, we may just have a chance to save the human race. Every person touches so many lives, just imagine…" Valeria Teles interviews June Edward — the author of "Dancing With The Universe: The Making Of A Medium Thriving Not Just Surviving Through Dysfunction." June's father knew she would write a book, someday and tell the family secret. She remember him asking her, on many occasions not to write a book until he was dead. He passed December 21, 2017. Her oldest sister Linda, her youngest brother Albert, and her, were the only three strong enough in the family to make it through. Although none of them are perfect, or unscathed, we were able to understand there was a problem, that our lives weren't normal, and do our best to change as adults. She's always been a very psychic person. But it was only recently that she realized she has always been a medium as well. As a child, she would hear voices, and talk to people, that didn't seem to be there. It was kind of like not knowing that you're a really good basketball player, because you only threw the ball a few times and never really applied yourself to the sport. But once she was ready, and she asked the angels to open her up, it was like the flood gates had swung wide open! Many things have happened to her that may have enhanced her abilities. She doesn't really know. It's possible that it was just the grand plan for her! There are no accidents in life, everything happens for a reason, and at the right time. She's telling her story so that other people can understand that they can overcome their upbringing. There are things that happen to you, and mistakes that you make, but it doesn't mean that's who you are. No one is perfect. You make the best decisions you can at the time, and you learn as you go. You can rise above the damage done to you, heal, and heal others. Her hope is that more abuse and dysfunction is out in the open, the less will occur, and the less people will feel stigmatized. We're all a little damaged one way or the other. You can overcome and not let the negative things that happen in life define you. Although she feels her best years are still ahead, this is her journey. The Profound Art Of Inquiry

— Inquiry is an art form. There is no formula, though it may start out that way. Julianne Eanniello always says to new trainees that, initially we will ask you to stay within a box, color between the lines, so to speak. Learn the techniques the way they are designed until they become a part of you. Then throw away the box, let your facilitation flow freely, led by presence and instinct. Meet each client exactly where they are, and join them in their exploration. Be curious about what's really going on for them. Get yourself out of the way. Valeria Teles interviews Julianne Eanniello — a Non-Dual And Somatic Inquiry Facilitator, Trainer, And Speaker Julianne came to non-dual and somatic inquiry because she was seeking relief from the emotional pain of developmental trauma as well as physical pain and fatigue from a chronic health condition. Inquiry helped her to see that real freedom lies in facing and allowing everything she was trying to escape from. Non-dual and somatic inquiry is a safe, gentle way to explore our conscious and unconscious beliefs about ourselves and others. It involves directly facing and exploring our thoughts, beliefs and feelings with a sense of openness and curiosity, and ultimately seeing that all we are ever experiencing are thoughts and feelings appearing in the present moment. When identification with those thoughts and feelings relaxes, and we begin to accept and allow our present moment experience, we see that the peace and freedom we wanted was always here. It was just obscured. Julianne works with clients all over the world on virtually any topic, including spiritual seeking, stress, anxiety, depression, traumatic historical experiences, relationship issues, addiction, compulsion, and general unhappiness with ourselves and our lives. She does this through online sessions, deepening courses, workshops and facilitator certification training. Those facing addiction are welcome to explore The Kiloby Center's unique program. Julianne is a warm, compassionate, highly skilled and effective facilitator and trainer. Touching The Emotional Side Of Cancer

— There are many definitive truths involved in cancer research, care, and treatment. After testing, we might know that specific drugs work or don't work in certain instances. We may even know what the predicted outcome might be when comparing one surgical approach to another, but doctors do not have the luxury of working in absolutes. Absolutes may offer more peace than unknowns, but there are not many absolutes in cancer. Instead, there is a stream of endless unknowns, creating a chaotic and unpredictable environment for the feelings of anyone faced with a challenge like cancer. David Richman experience has shown that cancer usually crashes into one's life with a sort of primitive, metal-to-flesh force, and people don't often jump right into unpacking the vast array of emotion the experience evokes for them— sometimes they never do. Since David first recognized the common thread binding people touched by cancer—the tendency not to examine, discuss, or even acknowledge the emotional side of their experience—his goal has been to shine a light on the things we've all kept buried, in the hopes that people might better understand what they and their loved ones went through. Valeria Teles interviews David Richman — the author of "Cycle of Lives: 15 People's Stories, 5,000 Miles, and a Journey Through the Emotional Chaos of Cancer." David is an author, public speaker, philanthropist, and endurance athlete whose mission is to form more meaningful human connections through storytelling. In his first book, Winning in the Middle of the Pack, he discussed how to get more out of ourselves than ever imagined. With Cycle of Lives, David shares the interconnected stories of people overcoming trauma and delves deeply into their emotional journeys with cancer. He continues to do Ironman triathlons and a wide range of endurance athletic events, having recently completed a solo 4,700-mile bike ride. He is married, lives in Southern Nevada, and has twins who are in college.
