Releasing And Healing With Creativity

— Being a creative isn't easy; however, it does become easier to manage & develop a deeper connection with a taste of three techniques to enhance our creativity through Sydney Melnick's 1:1 creative sessions. Are you giving yourself enough time for rest in your routine? Rest are pauses in our day to recharge our creativity when we have a creative block, having anxious thoughts, feeling stuck on a problem, or needing to remove ourselves from our workspace. Another much-needed aspect of Sydney's work is inner exploration, the more we learn about our inner world the more we understand our authentic self & the path we are searching for. As an individual, we have internal selves that are present with us without us consciously being aware such as, the people pleaser, the vulnerable child, the inner child, & the most daunting one... the inner critic. Most of us have a workspace, but do you have a creative space to help with your visualization process? Having a creative space is helping reset our minds to hold onto the meaningful moments that are happening in our life. This space is where we learn to feel safe, heal, & manage our stress. Imagery doesn't have to be representational drawings. It can be quotes, colors, shapes, or even found objects to remind ourselves how far we are becoming on our journey. Valeria Teles interviews Sydney Melnick — a Founder & Owner Of My Creative Relief, Art Therapist (MPS, ATR-P), Creative Coach And Speaker Sydney Melnick helps creatives that feel burnt out in their lifestyle & want to provide a positive & balance wellbeing. The Music Beats Cancer & The War On Cancer

— Too many potential cures for cancer disappear in a funding bottleneck. Music Beats Cancer is changing this by leveraging the power and passion of people and music to help raise funds and awareness of promising cancer innovations that would otherwise linger in the Valley of Death. Their mission is to increase the number of cancer-fighting technologies in the product development pipeline so that more solutions make it to those in need. Valeria Teles interviews Dr. Mona Jhaveri, a Founder, Executive Director, And Chairman Of The Board At Music Beats Cancer, And Speaker Dr. Mona Jhaveri launched the nonprofit to address the "Valley of Death," the growing gap in funding that constrains the translation of cancer research discoveries into clinical applications. Prior to Music Beats Cancer, Jhaveri founded Foligo Therapeutics, Inc. in 2005 to develop and commercialize a DNA-based therapeutic compound as a potential treatment for ovarian cancer. While Foligo was able to initially attract funding from various state-run venture programs and business plan competitions, the company ultimately succumbed to the Valley of Death. Jhaveri realized that breaking this funding bottleneck was a more critical priority than Foligo and rededicated herself to Music Beats Cancer and its mission. Jhaveri holds a doctorate in biochemistry from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University. She trained as a post-doctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute and was granted the SPORE Fellowship Award for Breast Cancer Research at the Lombardi Cancer Center of Georgetown University. She subsequently specialized in intellectual property and technology transfer while at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research. The Dance Between Grief And Joy

— "Mourning helps you integrate loss and grief so you can move forward with your life. Mourning is something you do, on purpose and with purpose. It ties together your inner and outer selves. Mourning looks as diverse as the people who mourn. A key element of mourning is returning to you-specific activities or habits that cultivate joy in the broken places in your days. It helps to think of your ever-changing life as moving forward along an invisible thread that never changes. While your life evolves through successes and losses, there is a you who is enduring, resilient, and always moving forward." Valeria Teles interviews Kimberley Pittman-Schulz — the author of "Grieving Us: A Field Guide for Living With Loss Without Losing Yourself." Kimberley Pittman-Schulz is an award-winning poet and author who writes, teaches, and speaks about death, living mindfully, and being a force for change in the world. She helps those struggling with loss, especially women, cultivate joy in their lives. By following her steps, beginning with simple mindful sensory moments (what she calls Tiny- Come-Back-to-Your-Senses Rituals), those in grief can learn to create space for joy to emerge, and re-engage with life, often through giving to a cause or purpose bigger than themselves. Neither a grief counselor nor a therapist, Kimberley offers a fresh, unique perspective through her personal experiences with loss and grief as well as her work as a philanthropy and an end-of-life planning advisor. She challenges the common assumption of grief and joy as opposites, believing that they can, and do, co-exist, and that with practice you can grow joy and well-being. Kimberley's book, Grieving Us, was a #1 New Release on Amazon in several categories upon its release in March 2021. How To Heal Your Heart

— We walk the (healing) path with all of humankind in order to bring the energy of Earth Mother, Pachamama, into modern day awareness so we one day can return to Her and help to support and heal the damage we have caused by our unconscious behaviors. Valeria Teles interviews Marcus Nobreus — a Modern Day Shaman, Spiritual Teacher, Healer, And Speaker. Marcus was born and raised in Sweden but he has spent most of his adult life in California. He had the shamanic calling early but it took him many years of growing and changing and learning before the path of the shaman opened up for me. He began working on people energetically twelve years ago or so and then he began to learn and pick up different ideas and methods along the way. And one day about three years ago a reiki master found his as he was meditating in a park here in LA. She offered him reiki but he declined at first. Two weeks later he is back in the same park and the same lady shows up. She talks with him about reiki again and this time he takes her up on it. It was a life changing experience which led him to get his reiki training and eventually his reiki master training. About a year into doing reiki professionally he ran into another lady who he became friends with. Marcus was not aware that she was a shaman until months after he met her and she took him on a journey and initiated him into the spiritual shamanic tribe he now belongs to. Since then his practice has deepened as he has learned more and more and now he treats people every day. The shamanic walk is a beautiful path but not for the faint of heart. Curiosity Solves The Puzzles Of Life

— Respecting the individuality and thoughts of children is at the heart of Christina's work. Guiding our children with respect and curiosity allows them to feel heard, seen and valued. When our lives are framed with curiosity, problems can seem more like puzzles, she adds. Valeria Teles interviews Christina Forgeron— a Family Academic Coach, Consultant, Writer And Speaker. Christina Forgeron has been a creative and passionate professional in education for almost thirty years, working with children (and their parents) from grades two to nine on three different continents in private, public and home-schooling environments. She has been a coach, a teacher, a vice-principal, an award-winning singer-song-writer and most recently, a wife, mother and entrepreneur. After thirteen years in the Middle East, Christina returned home to Halifax, Nova Scotia, on the East Coast of Canada with her South African husband, Chris and eight-year-old son, Jake. As an experienced educator and parent, Christina was interested in exploring the role of the parent in their child's education. Christina believes that parents are their children's first and most important educational leaders. With this in mind, she started a company called Bolster Family Academic Support, offering family academic coaching. For parents whose children are starting school, she provides support, long-term coaching and a framework for success. For parents who struggle with education at home, Christina works with the parents and their children to clearly identify what is at the heart of the challenge, to discuss solutions and to create a plan for success. Coaching is a non-judgmental and effective method for identifying and solving challenges in both parents and their children. This August, she is very excited to announce the launch of the BolsterHub, an international, online platform for parents who want non-judgmental support, professional advice, regular workshops and webinars as well as coaching. As parents, we can learn from each other, as well as from research and educational professionals, how to lead our children's education with wisdom and confidence. Unbreakable Wholeness

— By steadfastly following his heart, Todd has lived an uncommon life: living like a monk for 13 years at the then-ashram Kripalu in Massachusetts; having an intense spiritual awakening that landed him for a brief stay in a psychiatric hospital; and overcoming the heartbreak of being spiritually betrayed by beloved teachers -- not once, but twice. Now, writing with gentle, compassionate authority, he shares the life-changing philosophy that taught him how to embrace all of it -- the pain, disillusionment, and suffering -- as the gift it was always meant to be. Relatable, funny, candid, Todd's work is for the ones who are looking for a heart-centered path to life fulfillment. It will inspire you to access your own heart, leading you from the unknown to the known, from darkness to light, and from fear to love as you walk your own path of hope, happiness, and true transformation. Valeria Teles interviews Todd Norian — the authors of "Tantra Yoga: Journey to Unbreakable Wholeness, A Memoir." A Heart-Centered Approach To Healing Trauma

— "Who speaks for the wisdom that comes from the heart? Can people be taught to listen to what the heart does when top-down and bottom-up information is fed to the center of the person listening? Yes, they can. Many excellent therapists do this automatically, their knowledge coming through the compassion and connection felt in their own hearts. We sometimes see this as working with the countertransference. That sounds professional, and very important. It's also something that many therapists struggle to understand. When that dynamic is translated into 'hear what's being said, notice how you feel, body and mind, and let your heart speak the truth that emerges from that', it becomes organic, and much simpler to understand and use constructively with clients. Our hearts connect with each other. The mind and body help the heart remain grounded and centered, freeing it to share in powerful ways beyond just top down or bottom up only approaches." Valeria Teles interviews Lisa Danylchuk — the author of "How You Can Heal: A Strength-Based Guide to Trauma Recovery." Lisa Danylchuk, LMFT, E-RYT is an author, licensed psychotherapist, and founder of the Center for Yoga and Trauma Recovery. Presence In The Now — Presence In The World

— "Travelling through life alone means that you have enough faith and trust in yourself, so you don't need to follow the stories that others put in your head. Because those stories will almost certainly benefit the storytellers, but they probably won't benefit you, or society, or the planet. We can know and trust ourselves well enough not to journey too far into imaginary worlds. We don't need to listen to stories someone tells us or stories we tell ourselves. We don't need to follow mass movements. There are too many pitfalls along that pathway. Presence in the NOW is sufficient. Presence in the Real World is sufficient." Valeria Teles interviews Jon Turk — the author of "Tracking Lions, Myth, and Wilderness in Samburu." Jon Turk earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry in 1971 and was nominated by National Geographic as one of the Top Ten Adventurers of the Year in 2012. Between these bookends, Jon co-authored the first college level environmental science textbook in North America, followed by 30 additional texts in environmental, physical, and earth sciences. At the same time, he kayaked around Cape Horn and across the North Pacific from Japan to Alaska, mountain biked across the northern Gobi in Mongolia, and made numerous first ski descents and first rock climbing ascents around the globe. During extended travel in northeast Siberia, Jon's worldview was altered by Moolynaut, a Siberian shaman, and his later books reflect these spiritual journeys. Jon has published four trade books: Cold Oceans (HarperCollins), In the Wake of the Jomon (McGraw Hill), The Raven's Gift (St Martin's Press) and Crocodiles and Ice (Oolichan Press). His newest project, Tracking Lions, Myth, and Wilderness in Samburu (To be published by Rocky Mountain Books in September 2021) delves more deeply into a "mind-body-spirit" theme, supported by adventure storytelling, integrated with an anthropological view of the role of art and mythology in human development.
