42. Important Small Business Legal Tips from Alli Elmunzer

Hey you wild women! Alli Elmunzer is an attorney, entrepreneur, and podcast host, whose mission is to legally empower entrepreneurs to protect their businesses so they can confidently grow them. As a driven attorney and entrepreneur who has grown multiple businesses over the past 14 years, she's successfully navigated the unpredictable world of law and entrepreneurship. She started her first company in 2009 while working as an attorney. After successfully growing that company and subsequently launching another, she eventually started her virtual law firm, Influencer Legal after seeing the profound need from other small business owners for legal guidance, education, and access. Alli is passionate about helping entrepreneurs build successful and legally protected businesses. She does that through her podcast, the Inspired Entrepreneur, as well as on her blog, and through Instagram where she hosts a community of almost 10K followers. In this episode you will learn about: "If you can dream it, you can do it" Walt Disney Not knowing where to start is a common rookie problem There are other ways of doing business. You don't have to do what everyone else is doing. Do things that are in alignment with you. Give yourself permission to do what you love. Mistake 1: Not filing as an LLC or corporation. Mistake 2: Doing business without a contract. Mistake 3: Not doing a trademark and protecting your brand name. Contracts are a guide book for you and the other party. Don't create an LLC if it's only a hobby. We need to normalize that contracts are the way we do business. Three first steps to starting a business: 1. Go to government website and search to make sure that your name isn't already in use or registered 2. Always get a contract in place 3. Your website must have a privacy policy as it is required in the USA. Block time to be productive: client blocks, content blocks, CEO blocks, learning block. 41. Why You Must Always Look For The Silver Lining – with Diani Blanco

Hey you wild women! Diani Blanco is a renowned inspirational speaker, an advocate against dating abuse as well as the CEO and founder of Infyno (infeeno) Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to help teenage girls in high schools across Canada suffering from domestic and sexual abuse in young dating relationships. In the early stages of the pandemic lockdown, Diani started to hear more and more from single parents who found themselves in situations where no organization could provide timely help. Grocery stores allowed only one adult to come to the shop, little kids couldn't be left unattended, deliveries took long times because of the sudden demand, and they ran out of milk, diapers, or other basic needs, and this was a constant struggle. Diani decided it was time to make sure no family was left behind. "It takes a tribe," she says. Partnering with her good friend, they turned the sporadic help given on a personal basis to a growing community called Queens of Heart. Diani has helped numerous families, personally running from house to house to deliver food boxes and other basic items, donated by the members of the group, as well as local organizations that discovered the new initiative and decided to pitch in. In this episode, you will learn about: Everything happens for a reason. Why being yourself is the best advice. She was graced with feelings of cold & hot right before she wanted to jump off a bridge. It was a sign to keep holding on. She didn't know what love was supposed to be. How she worked her hardest to give her kids the bunkbed they always wanted. And she got it despite all odds. You need a no excuse mindset. She knew she needed to give back. Queens of Heart is like her third baby; keeps her up at night, but provides so much joy! What it means to be a wild woman: "Not having any limits. You can achieve and accomplish anything you want to. To not feel judged and to be honest with everyone around you." What initially began as a personal blog to hold herself accountable as her wedding day approached morphed into CNC at present— a go-to resource for all things healthy living, from her love of delicious food (and wine) to fun workouts, quick beauty, and fashion tips, and the 'true life' of tackling a chronic illness (ulcerative colitis) headfirst.
