Stouty and Logan chat with Jason on the challenges of adapting workouts for all people, programming for competitions, and how they test workouts to make sure they uphold the intended stimulus.  In addition, they have a big announcement on the evolution of Wheel WOD. Wheel WOD was established in 2013 by Stouty, after 6 years of developing adaptive competitions and educational content Logan Aldridge officially joins the team as a true partner and director of public relations and education.  Logan will be heavily involved in daily and personalized programming for athletes looking to compete or just developing skills. The goal is to continue to provide the community with opportunity to compete and increase the brand globally with interested partners and providing inclusiveness for all in fitness & sport.  In addition together they will be releasing full affiliate programming that will include adaptive components for temporary and permanent injured athletes or will offer to adapt your current programming to help gyms feel prepared for any athlete that walks/rolls through the door.

20. Carleen Mathews | Free coaching to those in recovery

Carleen Mathews is best known for her three appearances at the CrossFit Games.  Lesser known about her, but more importantly her affiliate CrossFit St. Helens has a free CrossFit program for those in the 12 step program.  This initiative has helped many improve their health and even save their lives. Carleen is also part of a coaching development program led by Chris McDonald in Portland, Oregon, where local box owners get together and work on improving at their craft.  We discuss why it's important to constantly be learning as well as what it's like coaching as a female as well as a CrossFit Games competitor. 16. Mike Burgener | Sh*t coach, just tell me to jump

Mike Burgener is one of the most well loved and respected Coaches in all of CrossFit and he has quite the resume.  In addition to being a Level 5 Senior International Weightlifting coach, a graduate of Notre Dame with an MS degree from the University of Kentucky, he is also a former Captain in the United States Marine Corps and spent 32 years teaching Physical Education.   Despite all of his credentials, most know Coach B. as the leader of CrossFit weightlifting and the crazy geezer known for yelling, "yay burpees!" In his 70s, he continues to train and coach and in this interview, he discusses some best practices for improving your Olympic lifts as both a coach and athlete.
