92. Dr. Shakha and Dr. Scott | CrossFit Health
In this episode, Fern sits down with Dr Shakha and Dr Scott, who are both involved in the Crossfit Health scene. Dr Scott is an anesthesiologist, Dr Shakha is Coach Glassman’s children paediatrician. They discuss how Crossfit moving forward in the greater community, chronic disease and how to navigate that when it walks into your gym, what really is Glassman problem with Coke- Cola, and how when it comes to chronic disease medicine don’t curse they simply slow down the decay.
They dive into how the main site is now more beneficial to us all as trainers and coaches. You may have to listen to this podcast a couple of time theirs so much information about health mark and why they are so important because they are so hard to get a test through your normal Doctors as well. Dr Shakha and Dr Scott open the Warrior Clinic so that you could get this important test done yourself at home to be more in control of your health.

90. Greg Amundson | The Original CrossFit Fire Breather
In this episode Jason Ackerman the host sits down with some who he’s said from day one of his Crossfit journeys was someone he personal looked up. His guest Greg Amundson is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Cruz, the US Army Officer Candidate School, South Bay Regional Public Safety Academy, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Federal Academy. Greg started his CrossFit training in December 2001 at the original CrossFit Headquarters gym in Santa Cruz, California. As an Athlete at the first CrossFit gym, Greg was coached and mentored by CrossFit Founders “Coach” Greg and Lauren Glassman for over seven years. Greg was also a former owner of the worlds first CrossFit gym on Research Park Drive in Santa Cruz, CA.

In this episode, Fern sits down with Bethanie Werner. Owner of CrossFit Kapaa on the island of Oahu discuss the positives of owning a box that gets many drop-ins over the year. She also owner Crossfit Sany in Utah. Bethanie also breaks down what it's like taking over a box and having to work 80 of coach per month to keep the lights on, her plans for the future. She is a 10-year affiliate owner with a wealth of knowledge on how to make her business work for her. So many knowledge bombs dropped in this episode. In this episode, Fern sits down with Jud Dean. Jud has been an affiliate owner for more than a decade. Jud and Fern go back to 2011 at the Mid Atlantic Hopper Challenge. Jud owns CrossFit 1st State in Delaware and does online coaching with his company Forever Hungry. Jud coached the 2019 CrossFit Games Champ in the 60+ age division. We discuss training masters athletes and how to look at their overall volume in training and we take a deep dive into his affiliate model that is predominantly focused on individualized CrossFit programming and how affiliates can offer a better service to their clients and provide superior results.

In this episode, Ackerman sits down with friends and someone who he credits as making him a better person, Rob Grupe. Rob is the founder and owner of Twice Bitten CrossFit in Oklahoma City. Before owning a gym, Rob served a jail sentence of 7 years in prison. Nearly a decade of time spent in a jail cell would typically break a man, but for Rob, it was a wake-up call to create a life built around service, and helping others.

This was emailed to the guys by a listener, about what they should do when they butt heads with the owner of the CrossFit affiliate they go to.
