The 4 phases of healing after betrayal

What things a betrayed wife should focus on in each phase
What happens when the husband and wife are in different phases

Podcast Description
If you're a woman and you have a low sex drive, please don't automatically assume you're broken. There are so many reasons this can be happening. Betrayal, family issues, relationship challenges, biological factors, illness, small children, sleep deprivation, and on and on. The good news is that with some education and skills, you can begin to identify those inhibiting factors so you can reclaim your desire. Of course, if you're going through some kind of sexual betrayal, your sex drive is going to be all over the place. Sometimes it will be high, sometimes it will be low, and sometimes you'll wonder if you'll ever find it again. Be gentle with your self as you listen to this great interview with women's sexuality coach, Jamee Andelin, who explains why you're not broken and how sexual desire isn't just something you can will into existence. In this interview, we discuss:
What women often believe and tell themselves about their low sexual desire
The origins of these harmful beliefs
How societal / cultural messages impact women's sexual desire
Other factors impact women's sexuality
How women who have been sexually betrayed can reclaim their sexuality
More on Jamee's Background:
Jamee is constantly gaining education in all its many forms, applying it, and then sharing what works with anyone who wants to listen. She is most proud of her marriage, her children, and that one time when her dishwasher and dryer were running at exactly the same time.

Podcast Description
When you've been betrayed by your spouse, it's important to make room for the initial shock and work toward emotional and physical safety. However, it's tempting for someone who has been victimized to stay frozen in the victim position. Also, this doesn't only apply to betrayed spouses. Most individuals who struggle with sexually compulsive behaviors or other addictions often feel victimized by their histories, mental illnesses, relationships, or other outside factors.
In this episode, I interview recovery coaches, Lindsay and Danny Poelman, who teach about how to take personal responsibility through the recovery process no matter what has happened to you. In this episode, we talk about:
Their recovery story
Why couples focus so much on the other person's recovery/healing instead of their own.
What focusing on your own healing looks like
Actionable steps each person can do to take personal ownership of their own healing
How to stay connected as a couple while they work recovery together

Podcast Description
Creating a sexually safe relationship in marriage is difficult for many couples, even when there's not been betrayal. However, when you add the element of betrayal, it makes creating a secure sexual connection even more challenging. I invited Tammy Hill, LMFT and AASECT member, to join me on the podcast to talk about:
How couples can begin exploring this topic safely
What she considers the hallmarks of a sexually safe relationship
What societal myths keep couples from experiencing a safe sexual relationship
What men need to be aware of
What women need to be aware of
What if there is betrayal? Previous trauma? Health issues?
