Heart On My Digital Sleeve (ft. Joelle Park)
We kind of grow up alongside the content creators that we love. And for some of us, our favorite content creators are the ones who wear their heart on their sleeve. YouTuber Joelle Park has videos spanning over 7 years of her life. Her channel features everything from high school/college advice videos, heartfelt videos addressing important topics like racism and internalized misogyny, and goofy vlogs with her friends and family. Not only do we love her fun content, we love her for her raw, open vulnerability with her viewers. Today we discuss trends in media and the expectations they place on creators, the balancing act of pushing out content you enjoy vs. content that does well, and the impact of filming vlogs on self-confidence. Making Time for Joy and Gratitude
When life feels like it’s running a million miles per hour, taking care of the big things feels much more urgent than the little things. But often times, it’s the little things that bring the most joy! Inspired by Ingrid Joy Fetell Lee’s Joyful Planner, which encourages us to actively plan for joy rather than expect it to spontaneously stumble into our lives, we express our gratitude about the little things we’ve been doing in the past few months that have brought us joy. Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving from our families to yours ♡ Check out Ingrid Fetell Lee’s Joyful Planner Follow us on IG @eatyourcrustpod Support the showFollow us on social media @eatyourcrustpod

Whether you see them as a pesky chore or a form of empowerment, it’s an essential part of many of our lives. Today we tackle our experiences with different types of birth control, any side effects we’ve experienced, and the involvement of our male partners in our BC journey! What Asian TV Taught Us About Gender Expression
Gender expression is often taught to us through things like TV shows, school uniform rules, or conversation with our parents. But when you grow up in between two different cultures, it can mean you’re exposed to double the stereotypes and expectations! Today we take a blast to the past to observe the various gender roles we’ve picked up through our favorite Asian dramas and celebrities, and explore how these portrayals translate to female empowerment and LGBTQ acceptance in society and our families. Our guest, Karen, is a fellow podcast host of her own show Mx. Asian-American, where she explores the Asian-American experience in all aspects of life. Check out the episode that Crystal and I did on Karen's podcast (ep#24 - East vs. West with Crystal and Jeesoo)! Follow Eat Your Crust Pod on IG! @eatyourcrustpod Follow Mx. The Secret Life of a Music Producer (ft. DiskQ)
Ever look at your coworker and wonder if they have a secret online identity you never would have expected? Their ability to type up emails, code, or business plans could be hiding a whirlwind of talents. In today’s episode, Gina aka DiskQ shares her experience balancing her day job as a software engineer and her dream job as a music producer. If her dreamy bedroom pop songs and nostalgic 8bit tracks aren’t impressive enough, she has also performed in festivals like Joy Ruckus Club, alongside big-name artists like Eric Nam and f(x)’s Luna.
