English phrasal verbs make English so much harder than it has to be, but luckily we have YouTube to help us. I explain some very common, and mostly straightforward phrasal verbs. Phrasal verbs like hold up or wait up, which can mean to ask someone to stop or get clarification on what they said. Thirty-five years ago the space shuttle, Challenger malfunctioned on lift-off. Millions of American school children watched as the event happened live. I was not one of them, but I remember the exact moment my fourth-grade teacher told me of the disaster. It is a day I will never forget.
