119: Should You Act As If...or Not?

You've all heard the phrase "fake it 'til you make it," but lately there's been a lot of talk that by doing so you're being inauthentic. Why act like something we're not and be who we really are in the moment? Well, I beg to differ and am a huge supporter of acting as if. Here's my reasoning… "When you act as if, you are literally taking the actions that the person you want to become is already taking." Acting as if is THE shortcut to getting you where you want to be. It also helps attract the right people and opportunities into your life and business. So yes, fake it 'til you make and act as if because what you're portraying is already in you, you're just nudging it to come out a little sooner. It doesn't change you at the core. Tough-love truth, nobody wants to do business with someone who isn't already acting as though their product is the biggest thing since sliced bread – unless YOU are acting as though it is. It's not inauthentic, it's actually more authentic because you truly believe in what you're doing. "Acting as if is just getting into the energy of the person who's already there." It's all about showing yourself (and often others) who you're about to become – even though you're not quite there yet. Because I believe that someday it's that energy that will help you become who you were meant to become. And why not take that shortcut to get there just a little quicker? What ways will you start "acting as if" this week to help propel your success forward? In This Episode We Talk about: The idea of "fake it 'til you make it" and whether or not it's unauthentic Acting as if you're already who you want to become Getting into the energy of the person who's already there Resources: A Tribe Called Bliss Book Tour See where Lori is headed and get tickets at ATribeCalledBliss.com For more stories and tips on becoming unapologetically wealthy, follow me @Chriswharder on Instagram and check out fortheloveofmoney.com.

118: Sales, Leadership, Confidence, and Cocaine with Zach Slobin

I am stoked to finally be able to have my friend and fellow entrepreneur, Zach Slobin, on since he hit the 7-figure mark. He's one of the most well-studied and philosophical people I know and I've had many a conversation with him about business and life – and now he gets to share his knowledge with you. While a huge proponent of networking now, initially Zach was against it after seeing his father's experience with it. But after a few different failed attempts (and some epic low points that included drugs and being broke), he turned it around to become a go-to source for sales and marketing advice. I have a feeling this conversation will spark breakthroughs for a lot of listeners. With some invaluable truths and knowledge bombs on human potential, Zach helps us all see that we are all meant for something greater and to live a life of abundance. -- Question Highlights: What's one of your superpowers? What is one regret you have? What's one of your favorite accomplishments so far? What is a belief you're questioning now? How did you get into the network marketing industry? How did you view money when your parents divorced? What do you see in network marketing that makes you so confident about it and what do you like so much about it? How do you help people get beyond fear-based thoughts? How did you cope with your low points? What makes you such an effective leader? Why are you so open and generous with your leadership? Why do people have such limiting beliefs around money mindset? What are you not taking action on but you soon you will be? In This Episode We Talk about: How Zach got into network marketing and why he is a huge proponent of it How Zach coped with his life's lowest points of being broke and regular drug use Finding the gift in your struggles What makes Zach such an effective leader Why Zach's such a believer in human potential Why we are all financially tied together The real reasons that people are scared to speak their message to others Why sales is so necessary Why money is just an energy Zach's relationship with money Trusting the process vs. going with the flow And so much more… Zach's Thoughts… "Money doesn't make or break who you are as a person, but it can certainly impact the ways in which you experience life." "People tend to see a reflection in your big moves as a reflection of their small moves." "If you weren't meant for something greater, you wouldn't have survived that one thing that you thought would kill you." "The best networkers in the world are the best storytellers." "We are all financially tied together." "Sales is merely an elegant conversation to help people get to an end result from which they can benefit." "I will choose self-reflection over arrogance and ego every day of the week." "You can either own your limitations or you can own your life." -- Madly in love with his wife. Natural philosopher. And producer of his own life. These three things pretty much sum up Zach Slobin and his insatiable desire to knock, question the everyday rules and then bend life to create massive freedom, joy, and abundance. After weathering life's natural ups and downs, being lost in "finding his purpose," and navigating through the inevitable entrepreneurial storms, he can tell you the stories of hitting several physical, emotional, spiritual and financial bottoms. He's the athlete who almost went pro, but severe injuries kept him from his dream. He's the top guy who walked away from a good corporate job (and the money), because it was suffocating. He's the man who wouldn't settle until he found his soulmate. And he's the entrepreneur who was so committed to excellence, he created financial freedom at just 34 years of age. Grateful for the lessons all the losses have taught him, one thing is for sure–he can show you how you to play the game of life and win it. As a Master Speaker, Trainer and Coach, Zach's greatest thrill in life is showing people how to go from where they are to where they deserve to be by removing the BS lies they tell themselves, so they can be, do and have ANYTHING they desire. 117: Are You Doing This For Others?

Today's podcast is about something really important, and whether you realize you're doing it or not. Are you lifting others up or are you accidentally holding them back? Here's what I mean… Let's say you have a friend who just released a podcast. You've always told them you support them, but are truly showing it with your actions? Are you sharing their podcast on social media and to your others friends? Are you listening to the episodes and commenting? If you're not doing those things, I'm not saying you're intentionally withholding that type of support, but actions speak way louder than words in terms of lifting someone else up. It also tends to correlate how they lift you up when you need it. "What you do on a regular basis is going to be done to you." Maybe you feel like certain people have "enough" supporters. (Hint: You can never have too many supporters.) The more action you take to support on the behalf of others, the more action they'll make in return. It's an amazing natural energy exchange! "Lifting people up is always an action." So next time you have a friend who's excited about something, releases a new product etc., go out of your way to support them through some action. And when you do, you'll find that not only are you not holding them back, you're propelling them toward their dreams. And in turn that helps you get closer to yours. In This Episode We Talk about: How people unintentionally hold others back Why you can never have too many supporters Lifting people up in an actionable way Resources: A Tribe Called Bliss Book Tour See where Lori is headed and get tickets at ATribeCalledBliss.com For more stories and tips on becoming unapologetically wealthy, follow me @Chriswharder on Instagram and check out fortheloveofmoney.com.

115: How TIPPING Can Make You Rich

What are your tipping habits? Do you give more depending on the level of service you get? What if I told you that your tipping habits actually have more to do with your abundance and wealth than you think? I learned my tipping habits years ago from my parents who were very generous tippers – no matter what the level of service was. And this stuck with me up until this point and I know it's only helped boost my success (and in general, my happiness). "The way you tip someone is not a reflection of the job they've done, it's a reflection of how you feel about money." Let's not forget about all the happiness/time-saving after effects of tipping well. At restaurants, because I'm known for my generosity, I'm seated faster, get better service and tend to get a lot of extras that other people don't get. When I valet park (at least once a week), my car is always parked close and I'm able to get my parked even when the lot is full. When I'm generous, I'm saving both money and time, which leaves me happier and with better energy. So let's try to shift your view of money (if it's needed). If the service was bad, don't use the lack of a tip as punishment. Instead, use it as an opportunity to show the particular person a different view of money. If they were having a really crappy day, wouldn't an awesome tip help turn it around? YES! And what's more, you're sending a message to the universe that you have an abundance of money. Let's take that one step further… when you tip well you're actually boosting the economy. You pay more, but then the other person has more to spend, too. No matter which way you look at it, you create a ripple effect when you tip well. What kind of example could you set by showing others how abundant you are with everyone? Who can you inspire? I would love to hear all about your generous tipping habits! In This Episode We Talk about: How your tipping habits can make you rich Where Chris learned his tipping habits from Chris' tipping habits and why they promote abundance Resources: A Tribe Called Bliss Book Tour - See where Lori is headed and get tickets at ATribeCalledBliss.com For more stories and tips on becoming unapologetically wealthy, follow me @Chriswharder on Instagram and check out fortheloveofmoney.com.

113: MOMENTUM HACK! How To Get It and Keep It!

Today we're talking about momentum – how to get it, keep it and get more of it. "Momentum is the hardest thing to gain, the easiest thing to lose and the most valuable thing to have." This above statement says it all… So much so that I could safely leave it at that, but of course I'm going to elaborate a bit. Momentum is something that everyone seeks in business. It's that magical feeling when everything is going your way, the money and customers keep appearing – it's explosive. And it honestly should be the goal for everyone when it comes to everything they're doing – life and business. But it can be elusive and hard to hang on to. See, momentum can be the savior or killer of your business or success. So many people never hit that momentum because they either give up right before it hits or they let it die after hitting it. It's all about finding the delicate balance between finesse, effort, time investment and a little bit of miracle worked in. "Momentum must be carefully cultivated in order to get it and then persistently preserved once you have it." So to help you create and keep that momentum I've come up with a few hacks to guide you: To gain momentum, you must be consistent. Consistency is more valuable than effort. Think about it, a little every day will always beat a giant push and then nothing. "Momentum rewards the consistent." Have a plan. "You must do the right work at the right time in the right direction." You can't aimlessly wander your way into momentum. Don't be afraid to ask for help and get a "map" to help guide you. Once you get it, hold onto it. "Do the same amount of work it took to get it that it does to keep it." Whatever it takes, steer your momentum in the right direction. If that means hiring more people or delegating – do it! There is no substitute for the effects and rewards of momentum – it rocks. It makes all your efforts worth it and so much more rewarding. But you must keep it rolling! And of course when that momentum is in high gear you're success takes off with it. In This Episode We Talk about: Why momentum is the most valuable thing to have Why momentum is the killer and saver of all businesses and success Three hacks to help you get momentum and keep it Resources: Interested in coaching with Chris? 112: How FAITH Can Help You SUCCEED with Joel Brown

Back when my podcast first launched, I interviewed entrepreneur and fellow podcaster, Joel Brown, but the sound quality was so bad that it never aired. That's why today I'm even more excited that we were able to connect one more time to have, in my opinion, an even better conversation. From a very young age, Joel possessed an empowering mindset. Practicing his entrepreneurial skills at the young age of 7, he has long followed the principle of making money work for you – and not the other way around. Now for the last seven years, Joel has been running his motivational website, Addicted2Success (and more recently his podcast), where he encourages others to find their 10-year vision and the values that align with it. In this episode, we deep dive into what a 10-year vision entails, how to find and create one and how faith has amplified Joel's business and life. You don't want to miss this inspiring and insightful talk. -- Question Highlights: What's one of your superpowers? What is one regret you have? What's one of your favorite books? Who is someone who has changed your life? Can you tell us where you were before you became an influencer? What is the "formula" behind success? Where did your core value of contribution come from? Why is the Bible your favorite book now and what has shifted inside of you? How does this return to faith affect what you teach today in business compared to what you taught a couple years ago? What can we learn from Jesus and the way He ran his "business" that applies to how we run businesses today? Can you be spiritual and still desire wealth? How can you help others find their vision? In This Episode We Talk about: How Joel got his start as an entrepreneur Making money work for you How Joel created Addicted2Success.com Joel's formula for success The importance of contribution The relentless pursuit of truth Why Joel stepped back into his faith The four areas to Joel's structure to test any world view (origin, meaning, morality and destiny) Spirituality and wealth Steps to figuring out your 10-year vision and tips to check in on it Why vision and values go hand in hand And so much more… Joel's Thoughts… "I never felt like there were ceilings, the sky was the limit." "Inspiration is way more powerful than motivation." "Just because it's a personal preference doesn't mean it's true." "He didn't come to be popular, He came to speak truth." "Your vision disciplines you. It chooses your friends for you. It teaches you what to say yes to and what to say no to. It gives you direction in your life." "I'm not big on the law of attraction; I'm big on the law of intention." "You have to be committed to mastery if you want to achieve a high level of success." -- Joel Brown is the founder of the #1 motivation website, Addicted2Success.com and has achieved over 143 million views worldwide over the last 7 years. He was offered multiple million dollar offers for his website and turned them all down to continue to grow his company. Joel has a social media following of over 2.6 million across all social media channels and he travels the world teaching 1000's of people how to stand in their vision for success so they can turn their dreams into a reality. Joel is featured in the new hit movie "Think & Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. Joel is also the host of the Addicted2Success podcast that has achieved more than 2.4 million downloads featuring thought leaders such as Tony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, Les Brown, Jack Canfield, Gabby Bernstein, Gary Vaynerchuk, Simon Sinek, Grant Cardone and many more.
