71: Past Decision Trauma

"Past Decision Trauma" is where a person has at least one experience where they had an important decision, and it didn't go the way that they hoped. They're kicking themselves about it + it's impacting their ability to make decisions going forward. People experiencing Past Decision Trauma will often procrastinate decisions, take a super long time to make decisions, look outward to other people, or over-analyze — because they don't trust their own inner signals. And I'm using "trauma" in the "little t" sense here, because most people haven't been in a war zone, but it still profoundly affects them. If you have Past Decision Trauma, I share 3 questions in this episode that you can ask yourself to find yourself on solid ground again. I also share some client examples from my How To Know What You Want course + some concepts that I think will be helpful to you. I hope this helps your current decision-making ability + decision-making confidence as you move forward in life. 70: Your priorities

This episode is about priorities. I find that knowing your actual priorities can be the solution to issues such as guilty thoughts, over-thinking, or over-researching. There are two approaches to thinking about priorities that I find useful, and I illustrate them through a few different client stories + a quick story about me. This idea might seem obvious, but this episode is still very much worth a listen. Because if you have confusion or lack of clarity or guilt, this concept will help you. And you're likely not using it as effectively, or as often as you should. 69: Buying carrots at the bodega (or: let's talk about energy + goal setting)

A practical concept tying personal energy to how we pursue goals. Stories show choosing small, doable steps instead of swinging between indulgence and overreach. A baby-carrots metaphor illustrates mid-sized choices that actually support progress. Examples include simple habits for research, strength training, and everyday routines.

68: Are you "confused"? Here's the antidote.

I do a lot of work on clarity, and many people come to me saying they feel confused. Feeling confused can be exhausting + frustrating. In my work, I've found that many people who think they are confused — are actually just being *imprecise*. In this episode, I share three things that are often revealed, when we actually get precise about our problems. These three things are far more actionable than confusion — and I'd bet if you're confused, you're *actually* dealing with at least one (if not all three). 66: One More Things (My New Year's Suggestion)

The new year is upon us — and I'm not really a new year's resolution kind of person. So today, I want to share one thing that is really top of mind for me, personally, as we enter the new year. This is a simple idea that doesn't require willpower or a full tank of energy. As we start this new year, and as always, I'm rooting for you. 65: 3 personal examples of Rightness

As I prepare for my upcoming course, "How To Know What You Want," I have been thinking a lot about how to make decisions, "Rightness," and knowing what you want. So today, I wanted to talk about these topics from a personal lens. I share 3 examples of recent decisions that I made that had Rightness to them - and how I came to those decisions. These examples were all different situations (some important, some relatively trivial), I made them in different ways (some quickly, some slowly), and they had different outcomes (including one that went poorly). Rightness doesn't guarantee that everything goes the way we want. So I want to be authentic + vulnerable + share my takeaways from these experiences. I reference some tools + models that I teach in the upcoming course "How To Know What You Want." Learn more about the course at https://www.katieseaver.com/course. 63: All about my new course: "How To Know What You Want"

For this first time, *ever*, I'm offering a course! The course is called "How To Know What You Want" — and has been over a decade in the making. In today's podcast, I wanted to tell you all about the course — from me, directly. I'm sharing what we'll cover, who it's for, and all the logistics (when it's happening, when to sign up, price, and more). This course is *very special* to me — I'll be summarizing everything I've learned from coaching my 1:1 clients, into 5 do-able, learnable steps — to help you: + Turn up the volume to your inner knowing (most people can hear it at a "shout," but not at a "whisper") + Generate directions (when you have no idea what you want) + Make a choice from options (when you're totally turned around) + Get more energy (because energy is a big input for this work), and + Make sure fearful thoughts don't sabotage the whole thing. In the first 30 days, you'll have new, more confident insights about any decision with your work, relationships or life — no matter how gnarly or complex.
