How to Work Through Emotions
Can I share a little piece of my life with you? I want to walk you through a morning of my life that was particularly meaningful: my daughter’s last first day of school. So in this episode, I am getting a little sentimental because I want to show you how I work through my emotions to figure out where they’re coming from and what they mean. I also am getting into why doing this kind of work with your emotions is so meaningful. For me, this was a reminder that part of the human experience is having 50% positive emotions and 50% negative emotions. That’s super important and we are touching on it more in this episode. Join me as I reflect on my daughter’s last first day of school and the emotions that it brought up for me, both positive and negative. Cherie Bosarge-Dutton on How to Ask for Help
Do you feel like you have to figure things out yourself instead of asking for help? I want to challenge that mindset, and so does my guest in this episode. I am chatting with Cherie Bosarge-Dutton, and she is talking about the different seasons of life that she has gone through and the work she has done to figure out what she really wants. Former reporter, graphic designer, attorney, and professional stylist, now an activist and author, Cherie lives in Weston, Florida, with her partner of 25 years and their two teenagers. It may seem like a strange leap to go from communications to law to fashion to writing women’s fiction, but each of these moves represents personal growth, career evolution, and a search for passion and purpose (and all of them provide fodder for her fiction). Cherie publishes under a pseudonym to protect her privacy but is happy to gush about books and other writers any time. She reads a book a day, loves the beach at sunset, and hopes to visit as many countries as possible in her lifetime. She’s currently at twenty-five. Whether you’re on your own journey of self-discovery or not, you’re going to love hearing about Cherie’s journey and how it improved once she asked for help! How to Commit to Consistent Workouts with Vanessa Gregor
Are you wondering what happened to that goal you had of exercising every day before the summer? There’s a reason gym enrollments go up in January and then again in May when everyone realizes summer is coming up: motivation kicks in… but over time, your visits to the gym slow down. Before long, you’re back to saying, “oh my gosh, why can’t I find time to work out?” Does this sound familiar? Maybe you feel like it’s because you’re busy, tired, distracted by your kids, or all of the above, but the real reason is that you don’t commit to exercising. If you truly want to be stronger, fitter, or healthier, you’ve got to stay committed. I know sometimes that seems impossible, so today I’m joined by my personal trainer, Vanessa Gregor, to talk about how to stay committed to your fitness. If someone asked you to share your vision, would you be able to? Have you mapped out a plan for growth, or is decision fatigue keeping your vision creation on the back burner? As a coach, I cannot emphasize enough to my clients how important it is to have a vision. Lynda Carlini on How an Online Business Manager Helps Your Business
Have you ever wondered what you should be delegating or who you should be delegating to? Have you ever wondered what the difference is between a virtual assistant and an online business manager? Well, you’re going to find out in this episode. You’re also going to find out what you could take out of your business and outsource to someone else so that you can focus on the reason you started a business in the first place. We’re going to hear from my very own amazing online business manager, Lynda Carlini. She is sharing what it is like to do what she does, who she helps, and why people need her. Lynda is a certified online business manager and systems strategist. She loves working with her clients to eliminate the overwhelm and get back to loving their businesses by streamlining their business systems and processes. Lynda was a stay-at-home mom to 3 kids under the age of 5 and the right hand to her husband in his business. When her kids were in elementary school, she worked there too, but as they left, she began working as a VA to online entrepreneurs. This quickly transformed into more as she began implementing the systems and processes in her clients’ businesses that they needed to help their days run more smoothly. She knew that she had finally found what she was meant to do. Her mission is to create more time for other business owners so that they can enjoy making memories and growing their revenue at the same time. In her free time, Lynda will usually be found with her family on the lake, a beach, or in the pasture with their horses and cattle! You’re going to love what Lynda has to share about the benefits of having an OBM, so don’t miss this episode. How to Feel Proud of Yourself
Do you downplay your accomplishments? Do you know how to really feel proud of yourself? This is something that I have been thinking about a lot because as a coach and a teacher, I always want to encourage you to feel proud of yourself and feel empowered. The problem is that we tend to connect more over our problems than our successes as a society. Something I've noticed in my own life is that not everyone likes it when you're proud of yourself or celebrating yourself. Maybe a little jealousy creeps in or they feel like you didn’t earn it, but that’s just not true. You did earn it! You deserve to celebrate and pat yourself on the back! In this episode, I am giving you some advice because I want to help you navigate this a little bit more deliberately. This will help you intentionally celebrate your accomplishments whether they are big or small. If you want to learn how to feel proud of yourself without feeling any guilt, tune in to this episode. Lara Williams on Creating a Runway to Freedom
Do you wake up feeling unfocused, unsure what to work on first or what direction to take your business in? My client, Lara Williams, is joining me in this episode to talk about how we’ve created what I love to call a Runway to Freedom to clear all of those up. A Runway to Freedom could mean a lot of different things to different organizations, but in this case, it meant creating an operating system to help bring back excitement, energy, accountability, and growth in Lara’s business. Lara is talking about what the business looked like before, what the struggles were, and what areas we worked on. You’ll hear how we reorganized meetings, positions, hiring processes, and more to create a business structure that could handle growth. Lara Williams, InteCare Chief Operating Officer, has 20 years of experience working in community mental health developing programs and training that focus on recovery and a person-centered approach. Since her start at InteCare in 2010, she has helped to establish the CARF-accredited Supportive Services for Veteran Families program and developed and supervised a 2nd Chance Re-entry Grant in collaboration with the Indiana Department of Correction. Lara was key in establishing Allies of Indiana, a peer-run organization with a focus on bringing innovative peer-run initiatives to Indiana, and has served as their Executive Director for 9 years. During her tenure, she has helped the organization to become a national leader in Emotional CPR (eCPR) training, receiving multi-year grants from the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction to provide eCPR training across Indiana, assisting with the development of eCPR Canada and the development of a Youth eCPR model. If you want to learn how creating a Runway to Freedom can benefit you and your business, tune in.
