Communicating with Confidence

How do you feel when someone misinterprets something you said or puts words in your mouth?Miscommunication can be frustrating, but it can be completely avoided, so this episode is all about confident communication. I’m teaching you how to confidently communicate with your spouse, boss, coworker, client, or neighbor without hurting anyone’s feelings or being misunderstood. The most important thing to know is that there are four parts to a conversation: what you say, what you mean, what the listener hears, and what they make it mean. I’m explaining each of these things and the role they play in confident communication as well as sharing some examples so that you can see them in action. I want you to walk away from this episode feeling confident in your communication skills and ready to start speaking up more because you’re not afraid of being misunderstood. Tune in to level up your communication right now. Show notes available at www.andrealiebross.com/podcast79Resources Mentioned: Episode 77: Confidence or Motivation: Which Do You Need More Of?: www.andrealiebross.com/podcast77 Episode 78: To Be More Confident, Be More Vulnerable: www.andrealiebross.com/podcast78 Apply For Committed to Growth: www.andrealiebross.com/committed-to-growth I would love to connect on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/deliberatedirectionI would love to connect on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/andrea.liebross.coachingGet access to all my free downloads and productivity tips: https://andrealiebross.com/get-in-touch

Courage, Vulnerability or Both

What does vulnerability have to do with confidence? I've been thinking about how lack of confidence shows up for me and my clients and I wanted to explore it with you in this episode of the podcast. I did some research on the connection between confidence and vulnerability, and I found that Brené Brown has identified 4 ways that we try to avoid vulnerability. I’m sharing these 4 things in this episode and talking about what they mean for our confidence and success. At the end of the day, when we try to avoid vulnerability, we cut ourselves off from so many experiences and opportunities to find joy. It takes being vulnerable to have the confidence to put yourself out there and see what happens. Do you have what it takes? I think you do. If you’re ready to get vulnerable, tune in. Show notes available at www.andrealiebross.com/podcast78Resources Mentioned: Episode 7: Create Your Own Confidence:  www.andrealiebross.com/podcast7Episode 46: When You Avoid: www.andrealiebross.com/podcast46Episode 60: When You Make Confident Decisions: www.andrealiebross.com/podcast60I would love to connect on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/deliberatedirectionI would love to connect on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/andrea.liebross.coachingGet access to all my free downloads and productivity tips: https://andrealiebross.com/get-in-touch

Confidence or Survival Motivation: What Helps More?

How does confidence compare to motivation? We always feel like we need to be more motivated to get more done and stick to our goals, but what if that’s not true? I want to show you why confidence is the key to success, not motivation. This episode is all about understanding the human brain. Our brains are wired for survival, so if you can understand the basic survival instincts in your brain, you can use them to your advantage. I’m walking you through how the different sections of the brain function at different levels and the three survival instincts that motivate your actions. I’m here to help you understand how the brain works, figure out why it’s not just about motivation, and unlock your confidence. If you could use a little more confidence, this is for you. Show notes available at www.andrealiebross.com/podcast77Resources Mentioned: Episode 73: Remove Your Limiting Beliefs: https://andrealiebross.com/remove-your-limiting-beliefs/Episode 55: Client Success Story: How to Create Routines with Sarah Khan: https://andrealiebross.com/client-success-story-how-to-create-routines/ Take the Reveal the Root Quiz: www.andrealiebross.com/quizI would love to connect on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/deliberatedirectionI would love to connect on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/andrea.liebross.coaching

How to Love Failure

How do you fall in love with failure? If you read that and thought “why would I want to fall in love with failure?” then keep reading. Often we avoid doing something because we’re scared to fail. I bet you’ve put things off in the past because you were worried about what the result would be, but guess what? If you never do the thing, you won’t get any result at all. Failure is the key to success. I know without a doubt that you’ll experience success so much faster if you embrace failure than if you don’t. This episode isn’t about how not to fail but how to fail well and experience failure in a positive way. Are you up for the challenge? How to Stop Living in the Past

Why am I telling you to complete your past? What does it even mean to complete your past? This episode is all about learning and moving on from your past so that you can create a better future. If you’re human, you’ve faced some setbacks and made some mistakes in your life. The good news is that that’s completely normal! The bad news is that if you get hung up on those mistakes and stuck in the past, you’ll never move forward. Here’s something I’ve learned: you experience what you expect. That means that if you’re living in the past, you’ll experience the past, and it will never end. To move forward, you have to complete your past. In this episode, I’m explaining what I mean when I say “complete your past” and sharing some key questions that you can ask yourself to help you do it. I’m sharing my own answers to these questions with you so that you can hear some examples and better understand what this process might look like for you. If you’re ready to start creating a different future rather than repeating the past, this episode has everything you need to get started. Show notes available at www.andrealiebross.com/podcast72Resources Mentioned: Register for Achieve More, Do Less: https://andrealiebross.com/liveI would love to connect on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/deliberatedirectionI would love to connect on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/andrea.liebross.coachingGet access to all my free downloads and productivity tips: https://andrealiebross.com/get-in-touch

No Luck? How to Make Your Own Luck

Do you believe in luck?I believe we create our own luck, and in this episode, I’m explaining why. How often do people tell you things like “you’re so lucky you get to work from home,” “you’re so lucky to be doing something you love,” or “you’re so lucky to be at home with your kids”? I know they mean those statements as compliments, but here’s the thing: you’re not lucky, you worked to be able to do those things. You created your success. It didn't just fall into your lap. I’m talking about this in more depth in the episode and sharing three small actions that you can take to create your own luck. Hit the play button to find out more about why I don’t believe in the traditional idea of luck. Show notes available at www.andrealiebross.com/podcast71Resources Mentioned: Episode 67: Guilt-Free Spending on Yourself: http://www.andrealiebross.com/podcast67 Episode 68: Anxiety-Free Wealth: http://www.andrealiebross.com/podcast68 Episode 69: The Five Mental Shifts That Guarantee Success: http://www.andrealiebross.com/podcast69 Episode 70: Finding Fun in Everything: http://www.andrealiebross.com/podcast70 Episode 1: Let Go of Doubt and Commit to Your Success: http://www.andrealiebross.com/podcast1 Register for Achieve More, Do Less: http://www.andrealiebross.com/achieveI would love to connect on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/deliberatedirectionI would love to connect on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/andrea.liebross.coachingGet access to all my free downloads and productivity tips: https://andrealiebross.com/get-in-touch
