I recently read Build for Tomorrow, by Jason Feifer, and immediately was hooked on the endless examples of how humans have always been afraid of change throughout history. We are so afraid of what we don't know, no matter if it is good or bad. Jason's book is a much-needed reminder that the one thing we were once so deeply afraid of really isn't that scary in the end. Jason joins us to share how change is the gateway to possibility and how we can open ourselves to it. We talk about how to properly adapt to change, the phases of change we experience, and why change is our greatest opportunity in life. Our generation has become obsessed with shadow work and living in an endless journey of healing. While shadow work can be a profound journey, when do we know we are healed enough? In this episode, I go deep into what shadow work is, why our generation is attached to it, and how shadow work can be used as an excuse to avoid living our dharma. A few years ago I read The Sophia Code by Kaia Ra and was blown away by the dense layers of wisdom within her book. Much of what you see in the "divine feminine" space online is not actually the divine feminine… The divine feminine is not about being a submissive, male fantasy version of you that swallows her truth and instead uses her sexuality to receive attention, validation and love. In this solo episode for the first time ever, I share an experience as a young woman in a "tantra" workshop in India and how horrific it was. I address the hidden patriarchy that is often present in the polarity space, how women are often used for our innate desire to be loved and why we need to speak about it as a spiritual community. While there is great beauty in true Tantra.. A lot of the practices we see today in the "neo tantra" space are not actually Tantra but used as a form of manipulation. Recently I have been reflecting a lot on my own evolution and thinking back to that 20-year-old version of myself. What would I tell her if she were in front of me right now? The funny thing is – a lot of the things I would say are the same things I need to hear right now, while others I have fully worked through. There's so much beauty in discovering what you still need to integrate and what you have fully worked through. You learn the same lessons over and over again in life until you fully embody them.
