"China: Corruption & Crisis" with David Zhang

We welcome David Zhang back to the show! David Zhang, former writer for the Epoch Times, is an independent journalist who covers Chinese affairs on "China Insider with David Zhang". This episode is also co-hosted by our good friend and Green Beret Medic, Chris, from "Common Freakin' Cents Podcast"! In this new conversation, the guys and David explore the changes in US-China relations, China's domestic crisis, and the shift in how China is viewed by the West. David delves into China's propaganda and optics, as well as the Eastern vs Western mindset. Currently, China faces an impending housing market crisis. David discusses its impact on the Chinese economy and how eventually, their economy will collapse. David explains how the uncontrolled expansion of capital, mandatory financial benchmarks, the crackdown on Chinese CEOs, and the expectation of loyalty to the party have created a defective foundation for the Chinese economy.Due to fears of disloyalty and unwillingness to reunite Taiwan with China, Xi Jinping initiated a purge of General Officers within the PLA's "Rocket Force". More suspicion is raised with the disappearance of the Chinese Defense and Foreign Ministers. Subsequently, David again discusses the abhorrent organ harvesting practices that have taken place in China over the last several decades. The conversation concludes with China's dwindling influence on the Belt and Road Initiative, potential conflict between the United States and China, the battle between good and evil, the impact of China's atheistic ideology, and the legacy of Chinese leaders.TakeawaysUS-China relations have undergone changes, with a focus on domestic issues in China.China's propaganda and optics play a significant role in shaping its image and reputation. There is a shift in how China is viewed by the West, with a greater understanding of its influence and integration into global affairs.China's projection of power and its attempts to control narratives are explored. The housing collapse in China and its impact on the economy are discussed.Organ harvesting is a serious issue in China, where the government targets certain groups for their organs.China's Belt and Road Initiative is a money-draining machine that aims to buy influence but is not a money-making machine, putting China into further financial burden. The United States and China are on a path towards conflict, similar to the Thucydides Trap.China's atheistic ideology has led to a lack of hope and a materialistic view of life.ICWF Podcast is sponsored by "Skull & Crossbeans Coffee", a veteran owned, small batch roasted coffee company. "Not Like One Of Them"

Luis discusses his motivation for running for Congress and his focus on bringing change to the political system. "What Is An Act Of War?"

The definition of an "act of war" is intentionally vague. The old saying that "war never changes" is challenged as technology becomes increasingly complex. Cyber attacks can render physical infrastructure useless and Artificial Intelligence confuses people every day--how do we redefine "acts of war" in our modern era? Is the United States already in the midst of a "Cold Civil War"?In this episode, Brandon and Zach discuss the concept of an act of war and how it is currently defined. They explore the process of declaring war and the role of the United Nations in international conflicts. The guys also delve into the "Authorization for Use of Military Force" and the "War Powers Resolution". Furthermore, they emphasize the importance of deterrence and what the United States' role is as a global superpower. Additionally, they outline the eight preconditions for the use of deadly force and discuss cyber attacks on national critical infrastructure. This part of the conversation focuses on ransomware attacks, the impact of the "Colonial Pipeline" attack, appropriate responses to cyber attacks, probing and cyber attacks as acts of war, national preparedness for cyber attacks and national infrastructure disruptions. Brandon & Zach use the "Stuxnet" worm attack on Iran as an example for how physically destructive cyber attacks can be and exhibit Chinese spyware on US military laptops as a reason the US Military needs to practice better self-preservation. This part of the conversation explores the topics of nation-state espionage, vulnerabilities in cybersecurity, and the need for defining acts of war in cyberspace. The guys also discuss the SolarWinds ransomware attack within the US Government and the potential impact of AI in warfare. Zach and Brandon discuss "Rules of Engagement" and the "Use of Force", as well as the restrictions on social media use in the military. They discuss concerns about the use of TikTok and its potential impact on national security. The conversation then shifts to the concept of a "Cold Civil War" in the United States, where the two major political parties are at odds with each other while the American people are used as pawns. Lastly, they emphasize the importance of being prepared and the need to "Fortify all Fronts" in order to be ready for any situation.______________________________ICWF Podcast is sponsored by "Skull & Crossbeans Coffee", a veteran owned, small batch roasted coffee company.
