SOUND Money for an UNSOUND World / Aditya Das, Ep. 288

We're living in very UNSOUND times. Geo-politically, but also financially this is true right now. In order to build new wealth for the new world, we need to consider new containers for this wealth. Ethereum, and other Web-3 digital assets MAY provide an option for open-minded everyday investor. There are 3 things we can do now, to ensure we’re building wealth the new world at a rate which is greater than the effects of inflation, or currency debasement:1 – We can invest more2 – We can take higher risk3 – Or we can keep an open mindI’ve met few who do all three. It’s not uncommon to see some invest a lot, or take a lot of risk, often without realising it, but it’s the open mind bit that's rare – quite clearly the world’s going through some sort of phase transition right now, yet out minds are still in yesterdays thinking in so many areas. Ethereum is one of the digital assets that I personally hold in my own portfolio. I don't personally, or professionally endorse more than a relatively small allocation to this high risk, yet promising new asset class. Take care to conduct your own due diligence and (ideally) seek advice from a financial adviser prior to making any serious investment in crypto-currencies.My guest today is Aditya Das, Blockchain Researcher and Investment Analyst with Brave New Coin. Today we’re just having a general chat along the lines of sound money – I hope you find it interesting! As mentioned:https://ultrasound.money/Twitter for Aditya @DascryptoforyouHey! Credit Suisse, UK Pension Crisis / News of the Money-World #49

koura KiwiSaver and NZ Everyday Investor present, News of the Money-World. Governments and central banks should be independent. This is my default belief, as it is with most who worry that the right thing to do, could yield to the popular thing to do. During extreme times (not just geo-politically), we need to guard our minds against dogmatism. In this chat, Rupert and I discuss the UK 'pension' crisis, and cover some ground around how yields and bond prices work together. We then cover Credit Suisse and 'what's up with that'?Sign the petition here for KiwiSaver contribution sharing that was discussed in this episodeHey!
