397: The Science of Spirituality with Anna Yusim

In This Episode You Will Learn About: What scientific studies are revealing about spirituality How to find fulfillment Asking for guidance The power of surrender Using a God box to solve your problems Keeping your vibe high Finding your soul correction and soul contribution   Resources: Learn more: annayusim.com Learn more: successiblelife.com Read: Fulfilled Instagram: @annayusim Learn more: becomealigned.com Learn more: The Bliss Project 2020   Show Notes: Today my guest on the podcast is Anna Yusim. Anna is a nationally recognized psychiatrist, speaker and author with a private practice in New York City. After spending so much time studying and working with science, Anna felt there was something missing in her life so she set out to find it. She traveled, lived and worked in over 50 countries while studying Kabbalah, learning Buddhist meditation and working with South American shamans and Indian gurus. Her life goal for many years now has been to figure out how science and spirituality work hand in hand. And that's ultimately what led her to write her book, Fulfilled: The Science of Spirituality and How it Can Help You Live a Happier, More Meaningful Life. In this episode she shares with us her fundamental truths around fulfillment.   Also learn about my Become Aligned course. The reason why my husband Chris and I created this course is because we get asked so many questions on how we started living the life that we live now, a life of happiness, of abundance, of really understanding that life is always full of problems every single day, but there's always a solution. In the course we cover everything from mindset to the rituals that we do every single day. We talk about different energy sources, we talk about your purpose, what that actually means and how it's always changing. We show you how to build a tribe to support where you're going. And we talk about wealth, abundance, money, all of the good things, and how to sustain them. Question Highlights: I want to know how science and spirituality work hand in hand. What is a really good starting place for people to start unpacking that? How does spirituality change your brainwaves? What is it about being fulfilled for you that made you want to write about this whole topic? What is your main false sense of fulfillment? And how did you figure out what was true for you? Is there something that you're surrendering right now? And what exactly is the narrative in your brain when you are releasing or letting go of something or offering it up? What does living in your purpose mean? Can your purpose change? How do we know when it changes? What are the fundamental truths that you have found around fulfillment for you?   Guest Bio: Dr. Anna Yusim is an award-winning, nationally recognized psychiatrist, speaker and author with a private practice in New York City. She is also a lecturer at Yale’s Psychiatry Department. After working as a neurobiology researcher with Dr. Robert Sapolsky Ph.D and completing studies at Stanford, Yale and NYU, Dr. Yusim felt that something was missing from her life. In her quest to find it, she traveled, lived and worked in over 50 countries while studying Kabbalah, learning Buddhist meditation and working with South American shamans and Indian gurus. 396: Your pain is powerful - use it

In This Episode You Will Learn About: Why you should come to The Bliss Project in March 2020 Pain is the way we learn and expand We experience pain when we are not living our purpose If we don’t transform our suffering, we transmit it to our families, our neighbours and our communities   Resources: Learn more: The Bliss Project 2020 Read: The Path Made Clear   Show Notes:   Today's podcast is inspired by the idea that pain is a valuable lesson. We experience a lot of pain when we don’t know the things we're put on the earth to do or we don’t know how to do them. If we don’t transform our suffering, we transmit your suffering to our families, our neighbors and even to our communities. So we have to start taking action on the things that we know we are meant to do. Also The Bliss Project is coming up in March 2020. I would love to see you all there. It is one of the most amazing things that I've ever gotten to do and participate in and it's your opportunity to meet some of the most epic women that you can possibly meet and be able to have them in your life as friends and business partners. I hope today’s quickie serves as a reminder or way for you to be able to get back to the heart-centered reason of WHY you’re working on your dreams.  Earn Your Happy is a production of Crate Media

You can tag us @loriharder and @ecradd.   Review of the Week:Ladybug9872Great Minds Rant AlikeThe first episode I listened to I was hearing what sounded like crazy banter between Lori and her sidekick partner Evans. I wasn’t sure this was for me. But I was now having fun because they were having so much fun. For some reason I kept listening, it’s been 5 months now, and I have gotten something out of each episode. I’m a few years older than Lori, and can totally relate to all of her music, TV, movie references to yesteryears. I shared three takeaways from the show with Sheri Salata on my IG, and I’ve never shared a show there before. Then, when I heard the episode called Turn your Hard Times Into Greatness, and Lori shared the anxious rant that runs in her head that keeps her from being present in every aspect of her life, I realized I love this podcast so much because I can relate. So many of us can. I’m not the only one saying the same rant to myself. Lori will give you tips on all aspects of Earning Your Happy, because she’s gone through this and is completely relatable. Listen up!
