544. Upgrade your productivity, body, and energy by balancing your hormones - with Alisa Vitti

In This Episode You Will Learn About: The importance of our monthly cycle Planning around your infradian rhythm Changing your exercise and diet during different times of the month Reducing friction around your schedule Planning your morning routine Manifesting faster   Resources: Learn more: floliving.com Read: intheflobook.com Instagram: instagram.com/floliving Instagram: instagram.com/alisa.vitti Lite Pink: instagram.com/drinklitepink Show Notes: Alisa Vitti, also known as the “hormone whisperer,” is a functional nutritionist, women’s hormone expert, best-selling author, and the founder of floliving.com. In this conversation, she talks about her journey healing her own health issues — cystic acne, excess weight, infertility, and more — through food and functional medicine, and why it was so important for her to begin sharing this message with more women. Question Highlights:   How did this all originate for you? Is it normal for somebody not to have a regular period? How can we support ourselves around our cycle? Is it normal to have hiccups in energy or different moods? Can you tell us about morning routines? How do you manifest faster?     Guest Bio: Alisa Vitti is a functional nutritionist, women’s hormone expert, best selling author and founder of floliving.com. Also known as the “hormone whisperer,” Alisa has opened up the conversation about menstruation while helping and inspiring women to tap into their inner wisdom and feel good all month long. As a student at John Hopkins, Alisa Vitti was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, or PCOS. When her physicians gave her only band-aid solutions to manage it, she realized that she needed a more organic solution.  Determined to take matters into her own hands she turned to food and functional nutrition to get to the root of her issues. It worked, and on many levels. After healing herself of cystic acne, excess weight, infertility, and normalizing her period, Alisa made it her mission to help other women to do the same. Alisa founded FLO Living in 2002. At that time, it was called Laughing Sage Wellness, and it was a brick and mortar women’s health center in New York City. Alisa’s classes and one-on-one coaching taught women how to achieve regular periods, how to heal from menstrual disorders such as PMS, PCOCS, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and fibroids, and how to optimize fertility and heal symptoms of perimenopause or premature hormonal aging. Alisa created the WomanCode System to teach women how to balance their hormones with food and lifestyle changes. Demand for the FLO protocol and classes grew so much that the center was constantly booked, and to meet the demand Alisa transformed her wellness practice into the first-ever online hormone health center to help women around the world. FLO Living has since helped thousands of women in more than 216 countries for over 14 years. Alisa is also the author of the best selling books, WomanCode and In the FLO: Unlock Your Hormonal Advantage and Revolutionize Your Life (Harper Collins 1/28/20), public speaker and creator of the period tracker app MyFLO. MyFLO is the first-ever functional medicine based period tracking app that helps users track symptoms and know what to do to become symptom free. She has been featured on The Dr. Oz Show, has a web series on Lifetime, and has been a regular contributor for CBS, Fox, Shape, Women’s Health, MindBodyGreen, and the Huffington Post. She has served on the Yahoo Health advisory board and is a member of the Well & Good Wellness Council. She is also an advisor to several health and health tech startups.  She has presented at TEDx, Talks@Google, Summit Series Outside, Hay House, WIE Symposium, and SHE Summit. Alisa lives in New York City with her husband and daughter.
