Bio: Katie Hadley is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Nutrition Coach, an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, and owner of The Well Factory. She works with individuals to promote overall health and to help manage a wide range of nutrition-related issues. After twenty years of owning an event marketing agency with her husband, Katie sold her business. When the initial euphoria wore off, she struggled to find her identity and purpose. Her reinvention began after her dad passed away from complications of dementia. After seeing the devastation of the disease on her father and her family, she began researching the role of food and genetics and if what we eat could actually change our genetic fate. Tracy Lynn: Healing trauma with cats, cuddles and coffee
Joining us is yoga movement specialist, Tracy Lynn: Tracy Lynn Adeniji-Adele is a teacher, performer, art model and an educator. She samples her movement from yoga, dance, martial arts and exercise modalities like Barre and Pilates. Her formal education includes a BA in English from UCLA and a certification for Chemical Dependency Counseling from CSUDH. Currently based in Orlando, Tracy began her movement career in Los Angeles where she grew up. After moving to San Diego, she launched her own online business in order to make movement classes more accessible than traditional studio classes. Her goal is to help people unapologetically be themselves, through trauma-informed, inclusive and self-affirming movement. Teaching has led her to working with special populations including people in inpatient and outpatient chemical dependency centers and halfway homes. She has taught surf/snowboard/yoga retreats for women with cancer with the nonprofit B4BC across the US. Suicide and mental health issues have directly and indirectly been a part of my life. Between age 12-17 I was hospitalized for suicide attempts and institutionalized for drug use and eating disorders. I got "clean/sober" when I was 17 and am approaching 15 years without in December. I have worked with special pop. with movement and have created movement classes for people that are working through trauma and substance issues without partiality to 12-step programs.
