The Church, in her wisdom and compassion, understands that many people who end their lives are not fully responsible due to their overwhelming anguish.   Offering Hope and a Helping Hand When Ava revealed she was personally struggling, Patrick immediately provided her with the 988 hotline, a lifeline for those in crisis, reminding her of the importance of reaching out to trained professionals who are ready to help 24/7.   But Patrick didn’t stop there.
