07. 5 Tips For Great Portrait Photography for Your Private Practice Website
I've reviewed and viewed many therapist websites in my years as a web designer and photography is often one of the "hit or miss" elements I see. Having great photos of yourself on your website can be a simple but impactful way to make you stand out as an expert, professional and, well, friendly therapist. Portraits of yourself can either distract or add to the design of your private practice website. So, how do you avoid just slapping an iPhone selfie up on your professional private practice website and start creating connection and beautiful website design? In this episode of the podcast I'll share with you 5 quick tips you can use when getting photos taken for your website and other marketing materials.

05. What Content Goes on A Therapy Service Landing Page?
In episode 3 of this podcast, I interviewed Paul Thomas, my friend from down under who created his own private practice website and was able to get it ranking #1 in Google for a number of keywords. A lot of our conversation focused on the type of content he created on in order to pull that off. And the strategy he used is one that I often talk about... It's about creating specific pages for each and every service or specialty you have within your practice. In this episode, I want to break down this strategy to give you an outline of the type of content you should be creating for these types of pages.

03. From a DIY Website To Google Page 1: How One Therapist Created a Successful Hypnotherapy Website
You may have heard it said that one of the best ways to get organic traffic from Google is to create what's called, "specialty pages." These are those highly-detailed, informational pages on your website that are specific to the specialties or services you offer in your private practice. What makes this such a good website strategy is that it allows you to be super specific with each page, creating copy that is perfectly targeted toward your ideal client. But how do you actually go about this? What does it look like in the real world and is it actually worth it to create so much content for your private practice website? I'd like to introduce you to Paul Thomas. Paul Thomas is a Clinical Hypnotherapist in Sydney, Australia, who helps his clients overcome personal, emotional and habitual problems quickly and easily by using Hypnosis and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). Paul also happens to be one of the very first students to go through the Create My Therapist Website Toolbox program. Paul took what he learned in the program about creating content and boy did Google love it. What You'll Hear in This Episode: How Paul decided that online marketing was the way to go for his private practice How Paul shifted the focus of his about page to create content for his ideal client What it's like to DIY your private practice website and how much content you actually need to launch How Paul identified where to invest money in order to grow his business and the shift he made to free content marketing INSTEAD of paying for ads What Paul did AFTER he launched to create momentum and drive organic traffic This episode is brought to you by my free webinar, 7 Steps To Convert More Website Visitors Into Your Ideal Clients. 02. A Simple Online Marketing Plan For Your Private Practice
Back in 2013 my wife and I had the adventure of a lifetime as we hiked over 80 miles round trip to Mount Everest Basecamp. I remember those long days of following our guides up steep exhausting mountain sides followed by quick descents. All the while wondering whether we'd get to basecamp or not. Sometimes, we couldn't even see Everest in font of us as we walked on through the cold, headaches pounding due to the elevation. But at about day three we finally saw it: Mt. Everest looming in the distance. It seemed so far away, but yes, we were getting closer. Sometimes running a private practice can feel a lot like hiking high elevations. There's ups and there's downs but all along you trust that you're moving forward. But one of the most important things you can do as you seek to grow a successful private practice is actually super simple: Know where you're going. I bet you've got some big goals for your practice. Maybe even scary audacious ones! And the only way to get there is to take stock of where you are now so you can get to work, one step at a time. In this episode I'm going to lay out a plan, a trail map if you will, that will help understand what marketing tasks you should focus on, no matter what stage your private practice is in. Here's what you'll learn in this episode: The multiple stages most private practices go through on their journey toward a full caseload The various marketing tasks you should focus on at each of these stages When you should start outsourcing some of your marketing tasks How to free up time to focus on the dreams you have for your life This episode is brought to you by my Online Marketing Trail Map. If you're feeling like you have no plan for your online marketing, I encourage you to download this free PDF guide and have it in front of you as you listen along with this episode.
