I have heard an explanation that, in Mark 8, Jesus was telling his disciples not to ask for signs and miracles like the Pharisees, but I fail to see how that is the case because no matter how many signs Jesus performed, the Pharisees still never accepted him. So what is Jesus really telling his disciples here? 2. Will non-Christians regret their unbelief at the Final Judgment? 3. My friend has been told that she has 3 to 6 months left to live. I was hoping to get advice on how to share the gospel with this person amidst their circumstances. Could you explain what John the Baptist meant in Matthew 3:8 when he said that the Pharisees must "bear fruit keeping with repentance"? 5. My son lost his faith when he went to college. This doesn't seem to be a metaphor, so why don't you accept Jesus's words here that this is "truly" my flesh and blood as his real presence in the eucharist? 3. If we promote or condone stories that use sorcery, aren't we encouraging the practice of sorcery and suggesting that one should emulate the protagonists in these stories? After all, the authors are holding these characters up as examples of good and noble character. 3. Why and how did the translators of the Bible separate the verses and the chapters? There are so many different denominations, and even within those no one agrees on everything 100%. I am having anxiety about if I don't agree with a certain pastor or elder about everything. It seems like Paul often refers to Jesus as "Lord" but he refers to the Father as "God." Why doesn't Paul explicitly refer to Jesus as "God"? John seems to make it clear that Jesus is God, but Paul doesn't. Is there something special about the title "Lord," and that is why he mainly calls Jesus "Lord"? 5. But Paul says that he puts a curse on anybody in the church that doesn't preach the gospel, he says that twice in Galatians quoting from Deuteronomy. And he says in Acts 28 that the gospel he preached was the Gospel of the kingdom and that Jesus is the Messiah. I don't hear anybody talking about the kingdom and the Messiah. Could you comment on that? 2. Is speaking in tongues for today, if so, what is its purpose? 3. Will there be husband and wife relationships in heaven? If yes, what will it be like for a person who has been in more than one marriage? 4. What is the role of the antichrist in the end times? I see a lot of people trying to rebuild the temple in Israel, but is this the work of the antichrist? 5. How do you respond to a Christian who expects unbelievers to ask them questions about Christ because they do not live like the world but are not always willing to initiate the conversation first.
