A statement released this morning confirmed the Premier League, FA, EFL and WSL have collectively agreed to postpone the professional game in England. Paul Gorst has the latest, as Liverpool are within touching distance of winning the Premier League title. As it stands, they will not return to action until April 5, when they are due to travel to defending champions Manchester City. Liverpool's grip on the Champions League is over after being knocked out at Anfield by Atletico Madrid. The Spanish side won 3-2 on aggregate after extra time was required following Gini Wijnaldum's goal before half-time. With that the Reds won inside the 90 minutes forcing the game into extra-time as Marcos Llorente struck twice, the first moments after Roberto Firmino had established a 2-0 lead, and 2-1 lead on aggregate only for Llorente to double his tally before Alvaro Morata struck at the end to send Atletico Madrid through 4-2 on aggregate.
