View from the Kop: Life without Liverpool, behind-closed-doors acceptance, and why title could taste even sweeter

Reds fans Ross Strachan and Matt Whitty join host Paul Wheelock to talk life without Liverpool, the prospect of finishing the season behind closed doors, and why that Atletico Madrid match at Anfield ever took place given the serious events that followed it, in the UK. Understandably, the first half of this podcast focuses on the impact the coronavirus has had on the club and sport we all love, but in the second half the trio try to lift the mood and look back on the players of the season so far and that moment that you knew the title was coming home. That will still happen - and, when it does, given everything that's happening in the world, it could be all the more sweeter. Enjoy. Blood Red: Klopp gives message of support, the ones that got away and support from Manchester United?

From Jurgen Klopp, to transfer tales of years gone by and also, 'support' from Manchester United. All bases are covered on the latest Blood Red podcast. Guy Clarke is joined by Paul Gorst, Sean Bradbury and Connor Dunn to talk through the latest news regarding Liverpool, before we take a trip down memory lane, once more. First up is reaction from the team to Jurgen Klopp's comments after the Reds manager spoke via a Q&A on club's own website, sharing his thanks for the incredible work the NHS are doing, as well as other key workers, before touching on how the coronavirus outbreak was affecting Liverpool even prior to the suspension of Premier League football. From there we move to talking about transfers that never quite, for one reason or another happened for Liverpool. Whether that be Portuguese winger Simao who looked set to arrive from Benfica, or Alexis Sanchez who instead opted for Arsenal or even Nemanja Vidic who Rafa Benitez held interest in prior to his move to Old Trafford. And talking of Old Trafford, we end on Manchester United's stance that they are keen to see the resumption of Premier League football, with Liverpool set to secure their first Premier League title.
