If there’s something hard in your life, something you need to do… and you’re struggling to find the right time, that perfect moment where everything will fall into place… you’re going to be waiting forever. Because it will never feel like the right time to do something hard. If you’ve seen any of my other videos, or content, you know that I’ve bounced around my whole life. But for the last 5 years, my partner and I had settled down in one spot, in one house. It was a good situation, cheap, and served us well. This year, we stopped, and thought about our lives… where we’re at right now. And we asked ourselves, what would we really like? We wanted to move… we wanted to upgrade. And it took me a bit to realize that I was so comfortable in the house, and more so the simplicity of the situation, that I never stopped to ask if it’s what I really wanted. So we finally made the move… and it was just as much work as I thought it would be… but it was so worth it. My goal here is to remind you all that there will never be that perfect time for you to do something hard. There are a lot of misconceptions about people with ADHD, and their ability to focus. Often, people think we have a total lack of focus, or are incapable of focusing on one thing for an extended period of time. When in reality, people with ADHD have a focus superpower… it’s called Hyperfocus. To be fair, we can’t always control what we hyperfocus on, but whatever it is, it becomes our sole objective, and everything else, all other stimuli, are blocked out. It can be very difficult for us to control, or direct, this focus on any task that we want.
