Toilet Radio 396 – Hard Rock Nightmare (feat. The Horror Guru)
This week we’re joined by The Horror Guru, host of Blood Splattered Cinema, to watch 1988 horror shlock fest Hard Rock Nightmare. This movie is notable for a few reasons. First up: the opening scene is so goddamned jarring that I can offer no comparison. The less fun reason: Hard Rock Nightmare was written and directed by Dominick Brascia who, we discovered in the process of putting this episode together, had an insanely checkered past. He accused Charlie Sheen of abusing Corey Haim. Corey Haim’s mother then publicly accused Dominick Brascia of abusing Corey Haim. Brascia died very shortly after. So, if you feel so inclined, you can watch this movie on Shudder and then join us for a discussion on a movie that is, charitably, very shitty.
Next week: 1967 Soviet horror film Viy (available on Shudder and YouTube). And if you wanna get prepared for the Patreon-subscriber-only bonus show, we’ll be watching Society (1989).

Andrew Lee of Ripped to Shreds (and Andrew Lee’s Heavy Metal Shrapnel, Houkago Grind Time, Skullsmasher, etc. etc.) drops by for the first edition of this year’s October Spooktacular! We’re talking about body pillows, HM-2s, getting signed to Relapse and horror movies. Specifically, we’re talking about Joko Anwar’s 2019 folk horror gem Impetigore. If you haven’t seen it, you can log into Shudder and watch it right now (which you should because it’s good as hell). Then, come back and join us for this spoiler-filled discussion of Impetigore.

Toilet Radio 393 – Accused ov Manslaughter NOT Murder
This week on Toilet Radio we’re talking about an up-and-coming Florida death metal band that decided to self-immolate their careers. We’re also talking about Ghost riding a Tiktok meme to hundreds of millions of listens on Spotify. Mina Caputo has decided to side with anti-trans goons and that does not seem like a good idea! We talk about Zombie MetalSucks and the baffling choice to dickride Nergal for thinking about BUT NOT ACTUALLY DOING a publicity stunt. Finally, Breno takes a fat man’s stand against Ted Nugent. It’s a good one.

Toilet Radio 390 – Dressing Like a Dickhead
The big story this week is that Dee Snider’s daughter is bootlegging Dystopia’s logo and album art for some real dickhead-looking dresses. But that’s not all! We’re also talkin’ recurring nightmares, Jordan plugs his upcoming appearance on Diary of Doom, the new world order of stupid band names, Ozzy performing at halftime for the NFL season opener, bands using teleprompters, old metalcore guys think Chris Fronzak is a poser, and getting FUCKED UP on Metal Blade Records vodka.

Toilet Radio 389 – A.I. Town Concrete
This week on Toilet Radio: The guy from E Town Concrete, a noted racial slur enthusiast, helped build an AI rapper that got signed to a record deal and promptly cancelled for dropping racial slurs. The boys argue over whether or not A.I. musicians will ever take off. I genuinely believe this shit is far too corny to ever catch on but others disagree! // Joe went to Riley Gale’s 2nd annual memorial party and caught some hip new bands. // We learn all about KENTUCKY IRATE FEST, the worst pay to play festival we’ve ever seen. Promoters and investors were demanding that bands sell hundreds of tickets, threatened performers day jobs, and got credibly accused of sexual abuse. Great job, dickheads! // Jeremy Spencer is BACK!!! This time he’s blessing us with authentic old school death metal. If you love OSDM, you’re gonna love Semi-Rotted. // We talk very briefly about Scott Kelly, formerly of Neurosis.

Riff Raff Podcast [EP.62] Riff Raff’s Half-Assed Summer
Your two Solstice Songbirds return for an episode they hatecast at record speed. Also we play some releases we liked so far this year WOOOORMRRRRROT
Some podcasts put in a ton of effort into every episode, you know? They keep lists of what to discuss on their show and talk about it beforehand, like a bunch of nerds. And then there’s the other toilet metal podcasts. The renegades. The ones who start episodes with improvised impromptu wrestling promos that one of the hosts didn’t even know about beforehand. Sometimes they spontaneously start a show by popping TWO pamplemousse La Croix’s and don’t even remember to record the episode. Then they record that episode again with as little fanfare, as zero-fucking-effort as possible. That is the episode we present to you today. It’s the middle of 2022. Some music’s already come out this year. Hear are six tunes we liked.
